aindrea:
Aindrea smiled softly, nodded and his gaze lowered back to the otherâs nose as he gentle put his hands on his cheeks. He turned the head a bit to the side to see better was the nose straight anymore and once he returned the head back to the center he was already quite sure about his answer. But just to double check he moved his right handâs fingers on the nose touching it gently to feel where the bone went. The touch had been extremely light, but it was enough for Aindrea to know the answer. He moved his hands onto his laps and gave an apologetic smile to the man. âIâm rather sure it is broken. You should see a doctor so your nose will ossify straight and wonât be all wonky once its healed.â
Jay let the guy turn his head a little to take a closer look at his nose, more compliant than heâd usually be with anyone but Jay would probably later blame that on booze and pain. Â Despite how light the touch was when the other manâs fingers touched along the bridge of his nose, it still brought a sharp hiss out of Jay, who looked disgruntled with himself a moment later. Â âDammit. Â I was really hoping to avoid the whole doctor thing.â Â He picked up his drink, swirling it around before drinking some. Â âThink itâd be a bad idea to try and reset it myself?â
ridohara:
Ridley took a sip of his drink as a man asked about his nose. He almost spit out his drink at the sight of the black and blue nose. Ridley managed to swallow his drink and he bit his lower lip. âIâm no doctor.â He said as he moved closer to the man. âBut I think you should see a doctor, it doesnât look too good.â He replied as he took some ice cubes out of his drink. He wrapped them in a few napkins and held it out for the man. âHereâs some ice, to help with the swelling.â He replied.
âI seriously thought for a second you were going for a pickup line there. Â The whole doctor thing.â Â Jay started with a snort, still gingerly pressing his fingers along the bridge of his nose. Â âIt looks that bad, does it?â Â Hell, he hadnât thought the guy had actually hit him that hard and Jay was just kind of cringing at the idea of having to go to a doctor. Â He took the napkins with a mutter of thanks, pressing the ice against his nose.
robin-kane:
Robin wasnât trying to stare at the man sitting next to him, but it was proving difficult. The stranger was gorgeous but he was more focused on their nose. âUh, what?â He startled, realizing they were now talking to him. âIt doesnât look great, to say the least. Are you able to breath through the nostrils? Are you experiencing lost of consciousness or a severe headache? Itâs worth going to the hospital and getting it checked out.âÂ
Jay had noticed that the guy was staring at him, which was part of the reason that heâd asked him. Â He made a little noise in the back of his throat, making a face. Â âNah, Iâm not getting any of that. Â Just a lot of fucking pain, thatâs all. Â And it feels swollen.â Â And, really, he probably should get it checked out by a doctor, but Jay was always weird about hospitals and tried to avoid going as much as possible.

aindrea:
Aindrea turned to look at the guy next to him. He put his own drink down on the counter and leaned a bit closer â hoping it wasnât too much to actually take literally a closer look â eyeing at the guyâs nose. âIt surely doesnât look like its okayâ, he commented and then raised his hands closer to the manâs face but right before his hands would touch him his eyes set on the guyâs face. âIs it okay for me to touch your face?â Aindrea had to make sure he wasnât crossing any lines here, so better to ask than apologise later.
Jay did his best to stay still as the guy leaned in to get a good look at his nose, not appearing to be very happy about that answer. Â Even if heâd been pretty sure it was busted, heâd been hoping maybe he was wrong. Â âWell, thatâs great.â Â He muttered, moving his hand up to feel his nose again before quickly dropping it, figuring that messing with his nose more probably wouldnât be a good idea. Â Eyeing the guy when he reached his hands up, Jay nodded slightly after a second. Â âYeah, sure, itâs fine.â
Seated at the bar with a glass of whiskey in front of him, Jay picked it up and took a sip before setting it back down.  He set it back down and then raised a hand to gingerly prod at his nose, wincing a little.  Jay had gotten into a fight earlier and, though heâd proudly say that the other guy looked worse, he was fairly sure that heâd broken his nose.  He tapped his fingers against his glass and then grumbled, turning in his seat to look at the guy sitting next to him.  âQuestion.  This,â he pointed at his nose, âdoesnât look broken, does it?â

ezrastarvos:
Ezra was doing his rounds, closing up the gym, it well after 9 o clock and he made sure the place is was closed down and secure, slowly stepping into the locker still seeing the light on, not expecting to see someone still in here ââ Hey man, what are you doing in here?ââ
Jay had been spending more time at the gym, working out always being a pretty good outlet for the anger and frustration that he typically had pent up. Â Most days, he was out about an hour or two after arriving at the gym, but heâd been a bit more worked up than usual. Â Just tugging his shirt back on, Jayâs gaze flicked quickly toward the locker room entrance when some guy walked in. Â The owner, if he remembered right. Â âTime got away from me, thatâs all. Â Iâll be out of your hair in a minute.â
rhysthestrong:
âLook, maâam.â Rhys huffed out a breath and closed his eyes- irritation plain as day on his features. One hand moved so that he gently pinched the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger. It was a rather transparent attempt to stave off the headache that this older lady was inducing.
âYouâre cat is out of the tree. Thatâs about all Iâm good for. Iâm not a vet⌠If youâre concerned thatâŚâ He trailed off and lowered his hand while opening his eyes to view her once more. ââŚPrincess Sprinkles, was it? If youâre concerned that Princess Sprinkles haspost traumatic stress disorder from being stuck in a tree for an hour, you need to take her to the vet.â
The older woman grumbled something before she turned and waddled off, leaving Rhys to gather his ladder from the tree and reattach it to the station truck that heâd driven out to the call. He was obstructing the sidewalk with it when he noticed someone heading his way and he glanced up.
âSorry, Iâll be out of your way in just a secondâŚâ
Jay had just been kind of standing off to the side, watching the whole thing with a clearly amused expression. Â One, because he hadnât thought firefighters really got old ladies cats out of trees and two, it was pretty clear that the woman was starting to exasperate the poor guy. Â Hearing the name was enough to get a snort out of Jay and he had to turn away a bit before he really started to laugh about the whole ridiculous thing.
Worried about her cat having PTSD. Â From being in a tree. Â Really.
Once she had finally left, Jay figured that it was alright to turn around. Â Heâd started to walk toward his original destination and then paused, waving a hand. Â âNah, donât worry about it. Â Take your time, Iâm not in a rush.â Â Jay slipped his hands into his pockets. Â âSo. Â How often you actually gotta get cats out of trees?â

lucalicious:
Luca could not believe that Gloriana had the audacity to go and get the flu in the summer and not find someone else to do the grocery shopping. What kind of maid does that? So there Luca was wandering a grocery store like a lost puppy. âHey you. I need pasta. Where is pasta?â
When his fridge was almost empty, Jay had figured that it was probably about time that he went shopping. Â Leaning one arm against his shopping cart, Jay eyed the list in his hand before tossing some bread into the cart. Â Heâd folded the list again and moved to slip it into his pocket when some guy behind him spoke and Jay turned to look at him. Â He sized him up for a moment before shrugging. Â âNearly on the other side of the store, near the sauce. Â I can show you where, if you want.â
javierdiaztime:
Javier gave Jay a toothy grin, because really that was the kind of answer he enjoyed.  Cocky Jay was Javiâs favourite Jay, especially when it was pissing other people off, as it often did.  He listened, intrigued about Jay manipulating shadows, but not really quite sure what it could actuallyâŚdo.  Make shadow puppets on the wall?  Give the illusion of something huge walking down a dark, backlit alleyway?  âYouâll have to give me a demonstration one day?â he asked, curiously.Â
He waved a hand, choosing not to pester the kid. Â That wasnât what he was there for, and neither did he want to push Jay into anything that serious quite frankly. Â Whatever Jay had bottled up, it would come out sooner or later or maybe never at all. Â But that was not for Javier to decide, or force.
âLook, if I return you to Andrew looking all shivery and gaunt in the cheeks, heâs going to have words with me. Â I gotta keep his little foundling well-fed, hm?â Javier said with a twinkling smile. Â He added rolling eyes as Jay teased him, paying for the meal and then strolling to his motorcycle. Â âI got myself a boyfriend, so better luck next time, Romeo,â he teased right back, handing Jay one of the helmets. Â âI live near the hangar bay, a little west of North.â
With a laugh, Javier set off, imagining a very petulant, broody Jay kicking poor Andrewâs prospective beaus. Â Hilariously, Javi didnât even need to picture a young Jay - this current Jay probably would kick as well.
Jay just smirked back at Javier, looking almost pleased with himself for having gotten that grin from the older man. Â It was always kind of amusing that the other man seemed to enjoy some of the things that came out of Jayâs mouth, considering that what he said tended to piss people off. Â Although, to be fair, most times Jay was actually trying to make the other person angry. Â âYeah, sure. Â I mean, like I said, itâs not all that impressive compared to what some people around here can do.â
The fact that Javier wasnât going to push him was part of the reason that Jay had called the other man. Â With Andrew, there were always questions and gentle prodding and with most of his friends, it wasnât much different. Â And Jay got that it was their way of showing they cared, but it could be a bit much sometimes, especially when he didnât want to talk.
Jay rolled his eyes at the other man as he followed him out, noticeably perking up as he caught sight of the motorcycle. Â âPlease. Â I think heâd give me more of a talking to than you. Â Besides, Iâm not that bad at taking care of myself.â Â He took the helmet when it was offered out to him, putting it on with a quiet snort. Â âA boyfriend, really? Â Damn, now youâve gone and broken my heart.â Â Jay started sarcastically, doing his best to hide a small grin as he got onto the bike behind Javier.
reynard-boisseau:
Reynard did feel a little bad that he couldnât exactly entertain Jay too much while he finished up some work, boring paper work he could talk through, but things that involved bodies⌠Not so much. But he did give Jay the wifi password, and let Jay pick what music to play over the speakers.
âEh.â Nard, waved a hand, âIt doesnât, really. Not all the time.â leaving it there, going into details would distract them. The things about Ouija boards was that you had to be lucky you were contacting a ghost that wanted to talk to you. Which most didnât. But Reynard never needed to use a Ouija board, what he knew about it came from the ghosts themselves and what people who have experimented with them told him.
A pause at the question. What he thought was: Iâve been haunted by a not so friendly ghost before, Iâve been possessed by not so friendly ghosts before, I wouldnât wish that on anyone. What he said was: â⌠Want me to get rid of that flashlight?â
"Wait.â Â Jay turned his head a bit to squint over at the other man, brow furrowed a little as he considered Reynard. Â âAre you telling me that Ouija boards actually work? Â I wouldâve thought more kids would get their asses haunted if those things actually worked at all.â Â Which, you know, they would kind of deserve. Â Jay would be pretty pissed off if some kids kept bugging the hell out of him during the afterlife or whatever.
Jay settled more behind the tombstone, looking over the kids in front of them with a slight scowl. Â He hadnât tampered with his powers too much (a lot of what heâd done when heâd been younger had been on accident), but he was fairly sure he could do something to scare these assholes enough. Â âIf you wouldnât mind, thatâd be great.â

theveganvamp:
There was a lift to his brow at the reply. Shaking his hands a bit, âI think you got me pegged wrong, buddy. Iâm not looking for a fight or anything. Not even being territorial over this land. Donât want you to get the wrong idea that Iâm some sort of asshole trying to start trouble or anything.â While his curse and sometimes aggressive/defensive demeanor could be off putting, Dorian was a pretty nice guy. Except for the whole being a part time thief. But only to those snobs on the North Side. Oh and the blood drinking. But that was only to animals. And the time he broke someoneâs arm for calling his sister a freakâŚbut that was well deserved.
Running a hand through his golden mane he tried to find a way to apologize for his behavior. If it would make a difference. âCan we start over? Iâd hate for you to leave this place with the wrong impression of me.â
Jay took a breath, shaking his head. Â âI didnât mean that in a threatening way or anything, might have come out wrong. Â I just mean, I donât like people sneaking up on me. Â I react pretty badly even when itâs a friend.â Â Hell, heâd broken one of his friends noses when they tried to sneak up and scare the shit out of him. Â Jay didnât look for trouble himself, but he was definitely an asshole on occasion. Â Well...more than occasionally. Â He would say he was trying to work on it, but thatâd be a lie.
He cleared his throat, offering a faint smile and slipping his hands into his pockets.  âYeah, âcourse.  Though I think I might be the one giving you the wrong impression here.â
robert-volker:
âYes.â He replied with a short shrug. âItâs just money. With time, I can always get more of it.â Time was all he had, after all. âDo we have a deal, then?â
Jay quirked an eyebrow up at just how flippant the other man seemed to be about spending money, but then shrugged it off and moved to stand.  âForget about the money thing, I donât mind showing you âround.  Not like I have any other shit to do.â

RIP meÂ
COD: this scene
doctoroleary:
âYou sure? I can see those lids get heavy and I will draw dicks on you if you fall asleep.â he ran his fingers through Jayâs hair, not really paying much attention to the television. âJust imagine the nightmares you will have with that.âÂ
âIâm a big boy. Â I can will myself to stay awake if I really try to. Â Who needs sleep, anyway?â Â Jay made a little noise in the back of his throat, leaning into the fingers running through his hair without much thought. Â Heâd always been a sucker for other people playing with his hair. Â âDicks on me? Â Sounds more like a nice dream instead of a nightmare.â Â He smirked.
