I was going to draft one up myself, but, math. So, purchased one from Scroop, the Augusta 1775-1789 pattern after MUCH deliberating. My brand new black ink cartridge doesn't work, so everything is blue.
Using what random fabrics I had around the house, so it isn't exactly correct, but it is my first attempt at a corset, so I am not too worried. I will be better fabric if I decide to make another.

Since seeing the trailer for AC Valhalla, I am mildly obsessed. And decided I wanted to give shoulder puppet crafting another go and make a raven. I tried making wings and that did not work out how I wanted because wow, there is so much math involved in that. So instead I will focus on head movement, which is simple enough, and having the mouth open and close.
Googly eyes are temporary. But I have figured out the logistics of the head.
I haven't touched my Bespin dress embroidery since February. And have felt super guilty about that. Thus, I have done basically nothing productive as punishment for it.
And the parts that I had done back then I am tempted to cut and redo, because it looks terrible.
Done by September?!? Hahahahahahahahaha

So, RoseCityComicCon is doing a closet cosplay thing and I had been meaning to put this together for a while, after my last con when everyone mistook my poor Warden for Violet.
I get these ideas in my head, and then I literally cannot focus on anything else until I complete(and usually fail) at said task.
I haven't played much of The Arcana, but lemme just tell you a thing. I am obsessed with Portia(and Muriel too tbh). So my brain said "hey! Do sexy Portia photos!" To which I replied "yesssss" so I spent my days off attempting to find an off the shoulder top, and scarf and pants, and I even tried making one(I f*cked it up).
Not the best quality, and they arent the greatest, is it recognizable as Portia? No, probably not. But I dont hate most of them.
Started on my newest cosplay 217 days till Rose City and so much hand embroidery to do. I wanted to get everything else done well before so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Tunic part is almost done. Need to hem the bottom, finish the sleeves, and get the gold emboidery flosa that I am going to braid and sew onto the cuffs, collar and bottom hem. *weeps*
Bought a boat load of embroidery floss - thank funk for those % off your entire purchase coupons. I bought 2 stores out of 2 of those colors, so I really hope I have enough.
I am thinking about throwing together a post about EVA foam, cost analysis and quality(of the ones I’ve tried).
Because I did MATH and I dislike math greatly, but I was so determined to find the best price because, cosplay is freaking expensive.
But I broke it down so far as to price per SqFT. (haven’t figured shipping into it, as it would vary state to state/country to country)
While I was mistaken for Violet from Rat Queens and a Viking? It was still so much fun to wear. The beard got much love!
Will make a few tweaks and wear it again for Rose City in September.
