holy shit to learn that he really had his hands in literally everything that jon went through is crazy. i knew that he was sending him statements to string him along but not so specifically to have him marked by each avatar. now that im so attatched to daisy after everything i'm so pissed that she really went through all the shit she did just cuz jonah was like "yoo hunt cop? they're just making this easy on me" also FUCK JONAH bringing melanie into this bullshit and making her go through everything that she went through gouging her own eyes out for this IM SO SORRY SWEETIE. I'm wondering if him saying way back when that the web doesn't really give a shit about doing a ritual because they kinda like controlling within the chaos of the regular world is true or not because why would the web hand them jon on a silver platter if they didn't care? much to think about

i always took note of how much the fears overlapped, obviously i used to get confused with the hunt and the slaughter because the line between their violence was very thin in my eyes before gerry's episode specified on the distinction, and the stranger and the spiral both revolving around some type of deception. i never took that into consideration with the ritual's so it's interesting to see that they all need to come together in some sense for one to happen, which power it belongs to is just leading the show.

i wonder how specific his plans were with the spiral btw and how much he intended the spiral to have a new avatar take over. surely he would've picked up on the fact that michael had beef with the archivist and wanted to target them but i wonder if he took any precautions to be absolutely sure helen would take over and not just get eaten like anyone else in the spiral would. just curious

also RIP peter you were kind of a vibe i hate talking to people too, hearing jon legit tear him apart because he didn't wanna talk that badly was crazy tho. JONMART SUPREMACY BTW HOLY SHIT I WAS SCREAMING just the "i don't just want to survive" AAAAAAAA and their casual talks when in daisy's place is so cute BUT TOTALLY DERAILED BECAUSE HOLY SHIT WE'RE IN THE APOCALYPSE ARC NOW. i was dying laughing cuz at the beginning of the episode im like "damn are we really just back to the swing of things after jon legit just killed a man?" BUT NOPE LMAOO

I get so excited when the episodes where we meet the avatars come around and Simon Fairchild got me so giddy, I've always found statements about him to be a bit silly cuz he gave me the vibe that he's just doing it for the love of the game and that's basically right on the money LMAO. I think my top favorite avatars so far are Michael/Helen (I prefer Michael but Helen is a delight as well), Simon, and Peter, I love how sassy they all are

I laughed so hard when I had the same reaction as Simon when Martin yelled at him to sit back down, man is tired of all this shit and won't let another one of these guys get away without giving him straight answers lolol. I found his story about how he became an avatar of the vast to be pretty interesting, and also Peter's plan is so convoluted and full of manipulation to even me that the story Simon told about himself is kind of the only thing in this episode I was able to grasp 💀 I plan to read the wiki summary on this to get a better sense of what Simon was saying about the extinction, though I get the gist of what he mentioned about both his and Peter's attempts towards rituals

I guess it's not the only thing I was able to grasp tho since I found what Simon had to say about the entities and how they "speak" to their avatars to be pretty interesting. I also like the idea that the avatars are basically just a drama for them to watch as they all scramble about and fight each other to gain more power for their respective fears in the way they think they're supposed to. Makes me laugh even more taking the dark into consideration when they did everything right just to get fucked over lolol
