Writing our Pitch on power point and sorting out who speaking for each slide:

We worked together as a group and shared the power point with each other and worked on each part of the PowerPoint for our Pitch. We decided who was going to speak for each slide and wrote individually what each of us is going to say on each slide. We did this by sharing one individual PowerPoint to each other on Microsoft 365 and typed each chosen part of the PowerPoint. I typed out the location and research part of our Pitch on the power point. I did this to help create the power point with my group. I wrote down what I was going to say for the location. I did this to prepare for the pitch.

I continued to colour the back ground and added shading to scenes on larger storyboard. I did this by using colouring pencils and graphite pencil and black marker to add the colour and shading to scenes on the paper.I continued to do this as each of my group roles and I coloured this in to have the finalised version of the storyboard.

We decided as a group which of our individual character designs that we we each created a Jack and Jill version . we did this by looking at the research and created our own interpretation of Jack and Jill by drawing on paper and digital program and adding colour with colouring pencils. We voted on the one everyone liked.

We voted for aoife' sand Gilbs character Design the most and are using it in our story. We did this so we would our designs for main characters created so it can be used in the story.

Chosen Role for our larger and detailed version of our Storyboard

My Role: colouring background and background for the shading:

We decided in our group what roles we would each do the drawing in pencil of the storyboard, the line art and the colouring and the background. I was given the role of colouring and doing the background .I did this by waiting for each group member to finish there role for the scenes then I coloured in the background and added shading the background. I did this by colouring in the background with colouring pencils and black marker to create the shading for each scenes. I did this to add the final details to storyboard.

Creation of a zine (collage of all my work on Ryhme Project in a collage in a pamphlet) and completion of my character Design Idea

Creation of Zine

I made planned on the layout of my zine pamphlet where I going to place all of work in a collage and learn how to fold paper to create the pamphlet for my design. I did this by learning how to fold the paper and cut the paper to create the pamphlet for my zine for my project. I drawed out the plan on this paper to get an idea of what it the collage would look like. I made a another one to create my pamphlet. I copied and printed these images and glued these all in a collage of my work in the project. I did this create my zine for my Project.

Completion of My Character Design Idea

I copied my character design and I did a this line art in black pen and coloured this in colouring pencils. I did this to finish my character off the for the animation piece

Character Design:

[Part 1]

Location:

For the project, I created a location design from two storyboard frames. The first one is a rusty desert planet and the desert itself. All the inspiration I took from the animation Invisible.

Character Design:

The most interesting and most exciting part of the process is creating the character. In the team we agreed that we would split into two people, two people would design Jill and the other two participants would design Jack. At the end there will be a vote on whose design will be the final one. And so I designed Jack, I was inspired by old cowboy toys and their style so I tried to combine those toys and the style of Invisible.

I created an animatic

Using the programme ..... I made an animatic, I added transitions as well as movements such as zooming in and panning to make the story flow better and feel more animated and real.

Music:

I then added music at the beginning. Paul recommended that we find a song that would include western and modern elements since our story is a futuristic western, it would tie in perfectly.

So I ended up finding the song- Unforgiven by Le Sserafim

The band sampled 'The Good, The Bad The Ugly' the made a musical fusion of modern pop music mixed with Western elements

I chose to only add the instrumental part so it wouldn't be distracting

I also added the song from The Good, The Bad The Ugly to create suspense and a classic western feel to the animatic.

Sound effects:

I chose to add a few sound effects here and there to create better sense of story telling:

- Such as a real western shot sound effect

- Metal ping

- An alarm sound effect sample from the StarWars

- And a car crash sound

Anamtic One Minute Version

We were told to create a final Storyboard that would be in the style and colour of our animation reference- Invincibles.

To make the shots look clean and in the same style the whole way through we decided to split the work into; sketches, line art and colour.

I got the job of sketching the storyboards, we decided to do this traditionally, I drew the sketches onto A4 sheets of paper that were split in two.

I made sure I drew the characters how we created them making sure to add all the details and keeping in mind the invincibles style.

To help me do this I made sure to have photo reference in front of me when sketching the storyboards, wether it be our characters or the invincible characters as well as angles and facial expressions they made so it could look more like the style.

Props(The design of the space ship):

In addition to the character I wanted to design a spaceship where the main characters leave the planet at the end, and before I came up with the design I thought that paper aeroplanes look pretty futuristic.

I asked my tutor to make a paper aeroplane for me. Then I took a piece of paper and repeated the same way the tutor made paper aeroplanes and glued two small versions of the aeroplanes on the back and the front.

I then used the 3d model as a reference for the design. I really like how the ship turned out sharp and emphasises its unusual triangular shaped aircraft parts.

from the prop research I did earlier, we each created a prop design from this research, I made the robotic horse design:

From my research and using reference of a real horse I came up with this robotic futuristic horse.

I used elements from Star wars Mandalorian TV show to come up with design features on my horse, for example the jaw and shoulder rotators as well as tech wires I used on its neck.

For the project, I still had to make a small version of the magazine that says everything about animation.

I decided to make a little collage about the design of our project. The first spread is about storyboard and locations where everything happens

The second spread is about character design, I was doing Jack's design and decided to put in his and everything that inspired me to design him.

And the last pages are refoins and more things that inspired and were used for the aesthetics of the project.

After the storyboard was ready, everyone had to draw two frames from it. Preferably repeating the style and aesthetics of the animation that was chosen. We collectively chose Invisible

I drew the first two frames from the storyboard, the solution was to draw everything digitally. Invisible's animation style, the backgrounds are very ditalised. You can compare it to Disney animations where you can see what will move and what won't, and the same was done in Invisible.

We got a new brief, this is to research and create an idea for an animation where we will pitch our ideas, story boards and aesthetics as a team to Yvonne and Paul in the end.

Once we were made into groups of four, we were given a nursery rhyme, theme and setting. We ended up getting the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill, a Western theme and it would be set in a futuristic 2100 time period.

We played a few team building games beforehand to get a sense of how teams are formed and what elements are required to make a successful team.

We made teamwork sheets and wrote the advantages and disadvantages of working as a team, this was helpful to understand what is needed for teamwork

Once we become a team we got straight to coming up with a story, we each shared our ideas and opinions on what the story could be, researching the poem and the context behind it as well as coming up with metaphors for the nursery rhyme that we could create for our own story.

Character Design Development:

We decided as a group to develop one character from our story from the research we have gathered .we will decide as a group which character Design we liked the best once we finish our character Design.

I drew up the character Jill based on the Animation character design of Invincible. I did this by looking at the character Design Research Gathered and drew up in pencil the outfit designs on the character I created based on the style .I drew up the character Jill so we could decide as an group what character design we liked in the group and include the character design in the story we created.
