Iโm re-doing proper references for the daycare kids in preparation for artfight, and up first is the Mikesys
Iโve also decided to actually write up character blurbs finally theirs will be under the cut
Mike
Mike isnโt timid or shy as much as heโs just kind of like a ball of anxious energy. Heโs always looking around with his big olโ eyes, waiting for something to happen. When he is approached by other kids, he can be very friendly and personable and ready to play, but unless he is approached he doesnโt interact with anybody. The only exception to this is if he notices somebody not following the rules, in which case he will try to correct them; heโs a bit of a rule-stickler. When heโs not doing that, heโs in his play tent, which sits in the corder of the daycare.
Triggers to front: Others needing help, anxiety, others not following rules
Chester
Chester is a grumpy old man. Well, he thinks he is, at least. Chester likes to do things by himself, and he likes to do them his way. His way is always the right way, after all. He loves to whine and sook and complain, he loves to tell people off. Everything annoys him, although he never really gets angry he is perpetually annoyed. He will talk to other children, but he doesnโt really consider any of them his friends. He refers to others as babies, but will get upset if you point out that he is in fact also a baby.
Triggers to front: Irritation, feeling especially hungry/thirsty/tired, other people complaining (he likes to join in)
Svetlana
By far the most whimsical in the system. Although she is scared and surprised very easily, Svetty is a very happy, loud kid. She loves to run and play, and her most favourite thing in all the world is attention from adults and friends alike. To her, every stranger is just a friend you havenโt met yet. She has taught herself how to do many tricks: Climbing and hanging upside-down on monkey bars, handstands, cartwheels, rolls. Thereโs only a matter of time before sheโs doing backflips and complicated gymnastics routines she has no business knowing.
Triggers to front: Extremely good/excited moods, physically demanding activities, parks
Vito
At this age, Vito is kind of off in his own world. Heโs at least half zoned-out most of the time. His favourite activity is staring at walls. Oh, and playing with toy cars, he loves doing that too. Vito doesnโt really like wearing his top, but struggles to take off the hoodie by himself, and when he asks for help with it people usually just pulls it down back onto him. And so he is trapped, sigh. Vito doesnโt like being around adults, but he does like being in the company of other kids. Even though he doesnโt actively try to break any rules, he doesnโt really care for them; he likes to do his own thing, and he doesnโt understand why heโd do something if thereโs nothing in it for him.
Triggers to front: Being shirtless, fighting/wrestling, cool cars or emergency vehicles
Manitoba
Manitoba is an adventurer! He explores, he loves to learn, and he enjoys eating things from the ground. Manny is very confident in himself and his abilities, he thinks he could probably do anything and that he probably knows everything. Heโs self-centred and selfish in the way that a lot of toddlers are. He would ask โwhyโ until your head explodes. Manitoba loves playing pretend, even if itโs not an Indiana Jones adventure-style scenario. He likes animals and pirates and dinosaurs and basically anything kiddish you can think of. He is friendly to other kids, although he prefers to play alone. Unless they want to play pretend with him, of course.
Triggers to front: New and unfamiliar spaces or things, wearing a hat, feeling lost
Mal
This guy is not nearly as friendly as everyone else in the system. Mal mostly just wants to be alone. He wants to sit in a cold, dark, quiet corner, preferably their play tent, and he wants to watch everyone and not be spoken to. When this cannot be achieved, Mal gets very stressed, and therefore very angry. Heโll scream and throw things and flail around to get people to leave him alone, although since he is a toddler that often doesnโt really happen. He doesnโt like making friends. But enough about what he doesnโt like, when heโs calm and happy Mal is very cheeky and mischievous, heโd like pulling pranks and giggling evilly. He likes to play with dolls and he likes to eat things that are sweet.
Triggers to front: Overwhelm and extreme negative emotions (i.e. anger or fear), traumatic events, sweets
this is ABSOLUTE peak. Mike mentioned!
