Jak was no stranger to waiting when it came to James. It wasn’t like he minded a bit, it gave him an excuse to take a longer lunch, and to have a few minutes with her apologizing to him. “If I had the choice between the sweet potato fries and you joining me for lunch, I’d much rather you join me. You’re working yourself to death.” He comments with a small smirk before diving into the food he waited desperately for. “Another busy day upon busy days huh? It must be rough being the favorite food truck in this whole town.” He teases.
“What?” She looked at him confused for half a second, “oh, it’s not my lunch break.” As a matter of fact she didn’t ever take a lunch break. She ate when she could, between cooking, or when she was done. Most of the time, it was little things. She didn’t really cook for herself ever. it was half sad considering that’s what she did for a living. ‘I’m not, Im not.” Red filled the girl’s cheeks as she pointed her eyes to the ground. “Cooking isn’t like, even work. It’s fun!” She beamed, “Like, I shouldn’t even be able to make money doing it!” She shrugged, finding herself taking a seat across from him, even if only for a second, “Oh goodness no. I am sure there are other trucks. Mine is just like, pretty good is all.”
