DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a rectangular cake pan (8x8 inch works best) with parchment paper 2. In a high speed blender or food processor, add all ingredients except chocolate chips and pulse until you obtain a smooth thick batter. 3. Add in 1/3 cup of chocolate chips and pulse again 4. Spread the batter in the lined pan i 5. Sprinkle a handful of chocolate chips on top. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes 7. Let the blondies cool for around 20min before cutting them into squares and serving

For the last anon - i didnt want to dissext an eye so my teacher found me and the other students who didnt want to participate a website where you can do non graphic dissections
What are some low fat vegan foods that arent carbs? I dont want to keep eating just plain rice or smthg that is full of white carbs (eg. pasta, rice, bread). All the vegans I know DEVOUR on those things. Me? Not much of a fan. Plz help.
I definitely was a carb dependent vegetarian but as a vegan not so much (well pizza). I sub veggies for noodles or pasta often (either in spaghetti, fresh sauces, layered noodles (like lasagna), Asian noodles, etc). Cauliflower is great for subbing rice as well as chickpea pasta/rice. Tofu, beans, legumes, seitan, all veggie patties or loafs, nuts and nut butters, fruit, fruit spreads, fruit in anything from salads to salsa.Â
Also, donât be afraid of carbs. Get some whole wheat carbs and give your body some long lasting energy. If youâre just eating white rice you definitely need to invest in some recipes that get veggies in there. Be open to making and trying new things!

My class is going to dissect an animals heart at school... I don't know how to feel about this... Should I ask to be excused or something? The teacher said I don't have to touch it, but still I feel weird about the entire thing ... (im vegan. plz send help)
Thatâs great that your teacher is giving you the option to not actually touch the animal. However, do what you think is best. If it is going to cause you distress and mental anguish please speak to your teacher for an alternate assignment. Take care of yourself!Â

Any ideas about having a vegan baby/child? Im not planning to have a child anytime soon, but I would like to know more about the subject. Any ppl with experience or any links, etc? <3
Hereâs a chain of posts that touches on the subject.
As always: It is possible to be vegan at any age. Maintain your health and the health of your family, do your research.Â
Answers welcome as well!
Are there any Indian vegans out there? One of my friends says the Indian culture isn't suitable for vegans, so ... anything I could tell my friend?
Answers welcome!Â
An account of a vegan in India.
Can I still consider myself to be vegan if I still eat dairy at friends houses? I try to avoid it as best I can, but if I'm at a friends house I don't want to be rude, especially if they made something with dairy in it for dinner. I never eat meat though, no matter what. Any advice?
Think of it this way... which is more rude... raping a cow (over and over), taking her baby (so she doesnât drink her milk), killing the males for veal (or if theyâre lucky theyâll be sperm producers which are forced to release sperm in many invasive ways), a female calf will probably just go through the rape and trauma her mother went through. Though they will only have to endure this for about 4-5 years whereas in nature they can have a maximum lifespan of over 20 years. OOOR saying âhey man, thanks for the offer but Iâm good.â Fruit, veggies, crackers, spreads, breads, even chips, cookies, nuts, etc...donât contain dairy.Â
Call yourself vegan or donât... as long as youâre trying. I understand the social anxiety attached with being rude to someone hosting but... real friends will understand and not get upset you left them an extra non-vegan brownie to have later.
Also, maybe bring a vegan snack to share with them? Hereâs a list Peta posted of accidentally vegan things. It is PetA so take it with a grain of salt. Or take a walk down the snack aisle and pick some stuff up and check for dairy or eggs. Itâs always nice to bring the host a treat.Â
Good luck, have a great day!

You seem super chill. What are your thoughts on people who choose to be vegetarian and not vegan? Do you think that's still a beneficial lifestyle? Or is it still bad because they consume certain animal products? (I just know some people can be super judgmental, and I don't think you are, but I'd like to know your take on it. Thanks!)
I try very, very hard to be understanding of peopleâs individual situations. I sympathize with people that live in places where they cannot produce their own food, cannot purchase their own food, are emotionally or physically controlled by others as well as people who have illnesses such as ED, people who need medications that contain animal derivatives and the extremely small percentage of those whose bodies would not survive on a vegan diet. However, these are not reasons or excuses for someone who is an environmentalist or has a deep compassion for animals to use if they are perfectly capable of going vegan.
I recently went into a vegan restaurant with a couple of friends (one omni, one vegetarian) and both seemed like they had a lot of questions as to why going vegan is better for the person as well as the non-human animal and environment. The bee and honey issue was their main concern that night. However, after coming to the same agreement... they still went home that night and made no change to their habits. This is frustrating to the point that it could bring me to tears. When youâre living in a time when science is being considered an opinion we really donât have room for people to give up.
So am I judging the person if theyâre vegetarian and donât want to go vegan because âI COULD NEVER GIVE UP CHEESEâ? I probably am. Iâm probably sad and mad and all of those other things you feel when a movement is being ignored because of convenience or taste buds. Am I going to lash out at them and dump a load of red paint on them? No, because Iâd rather discuss it and hopefully they get there eventually. Iâll keep calling them out on their hypocrisy if it continues to come up just like I do when people are sexist, homophobic, racist, transphobic and many other things.Â
While itâs not in my personality to lash out I still feel these deep emotions over these scientific and ethical issues that people choose to ignore. Hopefully that helps and I hope you can see why I feel the way I do over those situations. Hope youâre well!Â
When my coworkers say I make them feel bad about eating meat...
