Factinate Ltd, based in Toronto, Canada, have been using my image ‘Ashurbanipal’ within one of their articles without my permission or any licence agreement. Factinate Ltd have failed to respond to my emails and social media messages. I also emailed and sent a message via LinkedIn to Sam Weltman (Partner) and Josh Mendelson (Co-Founder), again, I have been ignored.

Underneath my photograph used on the Factinate Ltd website, it credits ‘Flickr’, on my Flickr account, all images are © All Rights Reserved and this is clearly displayed. Factinate Ltd should do the decent thing and contact myself to resolve this copyright infringement. 

As of today, Factinate Ltd have now blocked me from viewing their Facebook page.

I came across my image ‘Greenback’ being used to promote a film called ‘A Life Lived’. My image was being displayed on a business web page and their Facebook page. My image was also being used by one of the actresses in the film, on her web page. At no point was I asked for permission for usage or paid for the usage.

Based in San Diego, the owner of Frazzled Man Productions (Mr Chris Cashman) is a producer, writer and director of The Mike Koenigs Show, Club Frontera, etc, etc. Looking at his CV, he was even a stunt double for Will Ferrell. Hell!, I love Will Ferrell)

It is quite soul destroying when you come across one of your images being used without your permission. It is also a kick in the teeth when you have another creative person helping themselves to one of your images and using the image for promotional purposes.

Was permission asked? NO.

Did I get an offer of payment once the infringer got found out? NO.

Do these infringers expect me to live off thin air? YES.

Does Chris Cashman keep a roof over his head by working for free? I doubt it.

There are no excuses for copyright theft. All website owners are responsible for the content they display.

All of my images are © All Rights Reserved and where the images are located on my website, it clearly states ‘© Justin Green Photography’. All of my images are registered with the United States Copyright Office and are covered by international copyright laws.

I am an Urban Abstract Photographer. My photos are of New York City, London, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington DC.

The fine detail, texture, patterns, reflections and decay that are created can sometimes go amiss and unnoticed, be these natural effects or where man has left his mark. This is something I want people to see from my images. In the future I want the urban dwellers to slow down, stop, take note of their surroundings and see the world through my eyes.

I also take photos of the flowers and plants that grow in my garden.

My images are available here as standard prints. I also produce limited edition fine art prints (up to 6ft in size) of my photography for the home and business. These prints are printed professionally, approved by myself at the printers and then signed. Stock images are also available.

Sometimes its laughable, sometimes you think "get your own image, you thieving git!" A guy called Arya Swadharma decided to take my image off of Flickr, change the background from blue to orange and then upload to 6-7 websites. Instaprints (owned by Fine Art America), Flickr, Instagram to name a but a few. I must have spent several hours getting this image taken down.
