Using the Heart on him will reveal that he saves the scraps from his 12 hr/day leather-working job to buy food to feed orphaned pigeons, and that he once saved an injured hawk as a boy from three wolfhounds, nursed it back to health, and taught it to play Nancy, albeit rather poorly.
