Reality is a different matter of course. I completely agree that taking pictures of strangers (especially when they’re displaying affection) is utterly creepy and should not be supported by any means - even if the people in question have no ill intentions, it’s just a thing where your common sense should turn up and tell you not to do it.

Yes, actually. I do have a lame dating profile, and uglier pictures than what most other girls have because I don’t have the traditional beauty standards or self-confidence to be photogenic.

So while I don’t have “ho bangs” or “gauges”, I do find it really hurtful to see people be mean for the sake of meanness towards people who are on a dating app specifically to find people who are willing to accept them despite not being ~perfect 10s~ with ~perfect pictures~ and ~perfect bios~. If someone took screenshots of my pictures and bio, and then posted them on tumblr to say how they were making tinder “cancer”, i would be disgusted with myself and humiliated.

So maybe the question isn’t “oh man did I hurt your ~feelings~?” (because you did, yeah, congrats, you figured out that puzzle), maybe the question is: why are you so fucking ok with making a person you don’t even know feel like shit just because you don’t like their bangs and piercings? What the actual hell is wrong with you?

First, none of those people even know I exist and couldn’t care less about someone having a bit of a laugh at their profiles. Goodness knows mine probably ended up on some blog somewhere too.
