Quarks and Stuff

I’ve added some whimsy to my kitchen by saving old bottles as decorative “potions”. I put vinegar (to prevent mold), food coloring, water, and glitter.

Instead of buying a new paper towel holder, I decided to decorate the one I already had using clay. Here are some before, during, and after photos.

I found some sad looking aloe and decided to take it home. It has been one month since I first potted my aloe, Pearl, and i’m excited to report she is doing fabulous! I’ve never seen such an unruly aloe before, haha. Pearl has got some attitude and spunk. I’m a very proud plant mom.

Pearl has lots of new sprouts as well. Will update soon!

My grave is getting deeper

Almost a mile beneath

The extra mound of earth is warm like a blanket over me

But even through my screams I still can hear them speak

Neither in pain nor ignorance.

I am not scared of death, no.

I am scared of losing a life worth living.

I find that my curiosity toward the future is comparable to a longing for the past.

I am often eager to return to a past I cannot remember;

the void from which i began.

There is a deep familiarity with the unknown.

A place I can finally call home

will i build strength

or

buckle

I am always tired.

Have I always been tired?

Will I aways be tired?

and watch them roll away

my attention searches elsewhere
