1. English IS the universal language, whether we like it or not

2. As a Brazilian (which is, by the way, a developing country) we were always taught to receive a foreigner the best way we can, be it by trying to speak their language or by being really friendly and helpful towards them.

3. You're not obliged to know the language of whatever country you're visiting. This is quite ridiculous because imagine that for one person to visit Greece and Amsterdam they would have to spend how many years learning the languages before actually going to visit the countries????

4. What is your problem with being helpful and talking to someone in the only language you both speak???

It’s awful that we even have to say that because it should be a given. However, we need to say it loud and clear for the racists.
