I need Bruce to have the palest blue eyes.

This kind of blue- do y'all get what I'm saying?

They're so freakishly opalescent.

When the colours of his eyes haven't properly settled in yet when he was a baby, Thomas and Martha initially thought he was blind. They had tests done on him, but eventually as the colours settled in after the first few weeks and later tests were redone, they concluded that baby Bruce can see. He can determine shapes. It's just that his eyes are a bit more sensitive to light than the average blue-eyed folk.

Anyway, Bruce has always been complimented for his eyes—they're somehow so... Iridescent? They shine so beautifully, especially when the sun hits it at just the right angle—one that it doesn't blind him.

The man's ethereal. Flash photography isn't allowed when they're capturing photos of him—it doesn't fucking matter if it helps with the quality of the picture, can you afford to bring back his eyesight if you so much as cause temporary blindness to the deiformis that is Bruce Wayne? Just drape white silk on the man and he's good enough to be worshipped.

His eyes are enough to put any undesensitized fool off-balance.

Meek Clark Kent learned it the hard way.

Rumours of the seraphic beauty that is Bruce Wayne never wanes. It never loses public interest. But why should he care, right? He's not some gossiper. He's a respected investigative journalist. He doesn't have time to care about such shallow things.

That is until, electric blues meets the famed crystalline ones for the first time and he feels as though the earth is crumbling beneath him.

Oh wait no, those were just his knees.

maybe, if someone else notices, they'll tell him he doesn't need to endure the hands on his chest and back and thighs and ass. they'll tell him gotham doesn't need him to smile through the discomfort, to invite more touches against his own will. they'll tell him it wouldn't matter even if gotham did need that, because he is free to say no. maybe, please, will someone notice?

But sometimes, most of the times, Bruce's hugs are warm and tight and loving and protective. And they come out of nowhere. Because Dick was just sitting there. Because Dick just smiled at him. Because he called him dad instead of B or Bruce. Because he just breathed and reminded his dad that he is, in fact, his dad.

So Dick can take those weak, tired, short, barely there, one sided hugs. He knows he will get those other ones sooner than later. He'll wait for those other ones.
