“I told you that you wouldn’t understand,” Avasarala said, her voice cold and cutting. “The fuckers on the Tempest? I’m telling you they’re us too.”

Fred Johnson: "The Belt needs a born Belter to be its voice."

Anderson Dawes: "Once a thing is written, im fo sémpere! it is forever."

Looking back at the OPA conclave meeting in S2E7, which is a nice companion scene to the round table negotiations in S6E6.

Ty Frank mentioned that everyone here learned their lesson by the end of S6:

Ty: "And I'll just say this for our audience, here's a little Easter egg for you guys: The things that happen in this scene in this episode lay the groundwork for one of the most important scenes of season six. All the people who are here learned their lessons and those lessons play out in dramatic fashion at an incredibly important moment in season six so we're playing the long game."

It seems that Holden did learn the lesson that Fred Johnson first demonstrates here, and that pays off most notably in Holden's decisions in the finale.

In the conclave meeting, Drummer remains in the background and does not even say a word but the camera never forgets her. The framing is interesting as it slowly pans to reveal Drummer behind and in the blur, when it could have just stayed within the shot of Dawes with Fred. I doubt it is foreshadowing, it seems rather early in the show's production for that, but I really love how even then there is so much attention to detail in these scenes.

Drummer silently supports Fred as he endorses Anderson Dawes, whom she is wary of, having left Dawes to join Fred. And when Holden butts in to support Fred, he gets her attention.

Drummer's heightened and sharp reactions was something I didn't know I needed.

"It is like a cloud; a mist that drifts from living creatures to creature, set in motion by currents and eddies.

It is the eye of the storm. The passions of all living things turned into energy, into a chorus. It is the rising swell at the end of life. The promise of new territories and new blood. The call of new mysteries in the dark.

Feel this moment, for as long as it will last.

Feel life as it is, with the crude matter stripped away.

But let us be silent. Words and thoughts are distractions.
