For me, it was Liam's outburst! Not too much for the scene itself, but for what's behind it! We've been slow cooking that backstory and being able to show some hints of it feels like a reward!

Trying not to reveal too much, but still showing just enough for theories and speculations to occur, and, of course, to get people interested and invested!

Jamil and Kalim are the main focus of the story, of course. But that's not stopping us from making the background character interesting! >:3c

So I guess what I would love to know most is....

1) for your RSA and NRC OC's have you already decided on majority of their unique magic?? And if so I would love to know who's is your personal favourite!

2) Just out of curiosity, how much of the plot have you and Justghostingby planned? Your weekly updates are just one of the MANY MANY reasons why I love your fic, so I'm curious if it's because you have already outlined most of the plot?? (My praying your fic will last their entire 3 years of school+graduation...☺️❤️‍🩹

3) ok LAST one...(Cause I'm sure Im sounding really annoying 😅) After their current reunion do you have plans for their next reunion, like an interschool event??. It's okay if you can't answer cause it will be spoilers but I'd love to know more 🫶🩷

1) We do have some ideas for the UM of the OCs!

From my RSA boys my favorite from the main group would have to be Marion's or Alex's, from ALL the OCs... Probably Charles' but mostly because I wanna have it.

From NRC... One of the Ideas we have for Aun's!

2) I mean... We have many ideas! And like we know how we want it to go... We do have the main structure... But a lot of things are thought of at the moment of writing or we make some changes because it works better with the character development and stuff... (I also hope we can make it last that long. Or at LEAST until the canon game time... Which would be second year for them... Mostly because I want to see how everything we are doing here could affect the main plot... And also, the Yuus... And some of the specials...)

2) i know what i want to happen for the first year, a d have that mapped out. Some of it is a little loosy goosey, but it exists! Anything beyond that are all ideas we’ve been tossing around. I want to get through the outline before i start worrying about a sequel or year 2, but the concepts of overblots in year 2 are very exciting

3) don’t worry about being annoying. I need to be prodded with a stick sometimes to get me to talk.

And maybe also wanted to know if you could say any thoughts on how their respective families would react to their new friends

I would like to start by saying that I do believe Kalim's parents love him (in their own way) and also, THESE ARE MY PERSONAL HEADCANONS.

Kalim's parents worry about him. A lot. And of course they do! The poisoning attempts, the kidnappings...

Mama Asim shows her concerns and care more actively than papa Asim does, because she CAN. Sadly, this does tend to lead to her babying Kalim whenever she has the chance... Because that's her baby! And she smiles, oh, she smiles so bright it is blinding... So much she can almost hide the worry every time she sees Kalim hurt or whenever she hears there was another attempt on his life... Hey! At least they didn't succeed! That's a reason to celebrate! And if they think too much about it, it will only hurt, but if they never think about it again, then it doesn't bother them and they don't need to be scared, and Kalim is fine, so why should they have to worry-

Yeah... Kalim gets A LOT of his coping mechanism from mama Asim.

Mama Asim loves Jamil. He keeps her baby safe! He keeps him company, and Kalim is always so happy when he is around... (Mama Asim is NOT stupid, she can see what's going on, and she won't say anything)

Now... Mr Asim is a very busy man... Not that he doesn't TRY but he has many kids and a lot of work. Kalim gets special treatment and priority because he is the heir, of course, but he tries not to show it as to not make the others even more jealous and angry at Kalim for just being first... So he mostly just keeps him close and uses the excuse of training him as a way to spend any time together. Now... Is his way of showing he cares good? Eeeehhhh... Not particularly... Sometimes he forgets he's supposed to be a dad and forgets to turn off business mode... Which in turn means Kalim has to go business mode just to talk with his dad. Which... Like, great, now Kalim can do that... And also... He really shouldn't have to...

BUT when he remembers to turn off business mode? He also smiles! Look at that! He can be charming and charismatic... And he is going into business mode again, isn't he?

He likes Jamil. The boy does his job and goes above and beyond to assure his son succeeds.

Now... The Asim SIBLINGS?! OH BOY, DO I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ASIM SIBLINGS-

The littlest ones adore Kalim. He is a GOOD older brother and I WILL fight people on this.

The problem is the ones he is closer in age to... Now, most of them are actually not insane and murderous... Their mothers MAY be, but they themselves aren't- They would LIKE to know their older brother a bit better, but they didn't had the chance when they were little and it is a bit awkward now... Not that Kalim doesn't still try...

Then there's the second born, who SHOULD have been the first born but Kalim was premature (AGAIN: PERSONAL HEADCANON) ... Yeah... We don't talk about her... Mama Asim and her mother don't get along.

I may make another most with some of the Asim siblings OCs I have been working on... Maybe.

As for how they would react to the new friends...

We maaaaay have to wait and see!

All I can say is Mama Asim is probably very happy her baby is making new friends!

Mr Asim is more interested in WHO these friends are.

As for the Vipers...

I have... Thoughts... Not as many though... To be fair, I think about the Asims A LOT... I should try thinking more about the Vipers too

They work hard, that's for sure, I am sure they love their kids, don't get me wrong! But I do think that they forget that they are kids, especially Jamil.

I am CONVINCED Jamil gets his smarts and schemes from at least one of them...

I know they are servants, but to allow Jamil so close to Kalim, I am sure they are at the very least the head servants, I wouldn't be surprised is Papa Viper is Mr. Asim's personal servant / body guard.... This is generational.

Mine are as follows:

Asims:

Mama Asim

lives in a harem drama. She’s the mother of the heir so her position is the most secure, but that’s only as long as her son is alive. She is very invested in keeping Kalim alive, and his safety might sometimes come above his other needs sometimes. She loves him very much and is very affectionate, but she’s also got a lot to do to keep them both afloat and so might not be able to be around as much as she wants. Often lonely. She is also gifted in buisness, but doesn’t always have the opportunity to show it off.

Values jamil because he’s from such a respected line of servants which helps legitimize kalim’s position a bit, and because he’s loyal and protective of kalim. Also thinks its good that they get along so well. Hopes he stays by kalim’s side forever.

Papa Asim:

A cunning and charismatic buisness man. Absolutely ruthless in buisness and has many enemies. People come to him from all over to do buisness with him. His power and influence rival that of the Sultan himself, and though he’s never made any moves to take the throne, the mere fact thst he both has a claim and the support to back it is enough to make them wary of him. He is generous to his friends, and pays his staff well. He loves Kalim and sees his charm as useful for dealing with the more contentious opponents. He cares a lot about appearances, and would like his harem to stop infighting but knows its not his place to do so. (Ottoman empire style harem means its his mom’s job, not his) Respects mama asim as a buisness partner and mother of his heir, and gives her the favor he feels she deserves for it.

Sees jamil as a hardworker from a trusted line. Considers kalim promoting him to personal companion/servant to be a good move.

Grandma Asim:

Head of the harem. If she doesn’t like you, your not even going to meet papa asim. Rules over the harem with an iron fist. Stern, but fair to the mothers, and a doting grandma to her many grandchildren. Close to mama asim, but can’t be to open about it so as not to ensight jealousy.

Has a slight soft spot for jamil, since she knew him as a baby. Tries not to show it though, as she is fully aware the dangers a master’s favor presents.

The siblings:

The little ones love Kalim! One hundred percent! He’s very sweet to them, and also them being significantly younger means they aren’t in the running for the position of heir so their mama’s aren’t against them spending time together.

The little ones love jamil, he’s a packaged deal with kalim in their minds. Bur najima is their favorite.

The ones closer to kalim’s age are were the problems start. They are mostly kept away from each other when they were little and the tension in the harem was at its peak, and now they struggle to connect to each other and Kalim. They aren’t bad people, but very wary. (And yes, some of their mothers have tried to kill kalim)

They are mostly scared of jamil. He’s someone who’s gone head to head with a few of the mothers in the harem to keep himself and kalim safe, which is impressive and not something a servant is supposed to be able to do. His constant smiles are also unnerving.

Uncle Asim

A character more from my fic than canon. Cousin to papa asim, and primarily responsible for the more blatant attacks on kalim’s life. Given tradition dictates that any male from the family can inherit the title of head if the head dies (and the sons are not of age) he is very motivated to kill kalim and papa asim, before kalim is of age. He’s also the craftiest and hides his conections to the crimes well. Everyone knows he’s responsible, but no one can prove it, and so family honor means they have to keep inviting him places.

Doesn’t really register jamil exists. Jamil would like to keep it that way.

As for the vipers:

Papa viper:

A family man through and through, but very aware of the dangers his family is in every day working in tbe asim’s palace. A high ranking member of the staff, he is trusted to handle papa asim’s food directly and ensure no one tampers with it. (He’s not the cook, he’s the server) He was the one who taught jamil to fight and to use poisons and ancedotes. He takes pride in his work, and was thrilled when jamil got promoted from designsting playmate to the position of kalim’s personal companion, as he’d initially signed jamil up for it as free babysitting and a way to imprint on their future master. (He himself was once papa asim’s designating playmate) He went a little overboard preparing him for it.

Mama viper:

Not born a viper, but has always been a servant too. Acceptionally beautiful and a gifted dancer, she has faced plenty of harassment from more powerful men, leading her to be extra careful in making sure her own beautiful children don’t bring any unwanted attention to themselves. She loves both her children but worries constantly foe their safety in the cutthroat world of the asim palace. Initially apprehensive about jamil’s status as a playmate and even more so of his position as a personal servant, for the danger it places him in. Pushes him to always come in second to kalim not because she believes kalim is better, but because he is a master, and no matter how friendly he seems, a master is always dangerous. Especially when denied. She once caught papa asim’s eye and thanks every lucky star she has that when she did, she was already married and he didn’t want to upset a good working relationship with his personal server. (Always a bad idea) so never did anything about it.

Najima Viper:

Common sense thy name is Najima. Very down to earth, and can see through bs a mile away. Knows her brother inside and out and will call him out frequently. Jamil’s closest companion outside of kalim. She isn’t anyone’s personal servant, but she’s helped look after all the baby asims, and they adore her.

If Jamil had the option between either :

1) Eat only Lilia’s food (and he is not allowed to vomit, throw away, or make his own food in an attempt to substitute)

or

2) Eat only Kalim’s food while he is also not allowed to watch Kalim cook in the kitchen and he must stay firmly in the dining room while Kalim is cooking in the kitchen

which one would Jamil choose?

I am not the Jamil writer, that's @justaghostingon, I write Kalim!

But, if you are asking about my thoughts on the actual game? there's ONE safe answer and that's Kalim's cooking.

Re-read Jamil Viper’s Guide to Realising His Repressed-feelings, and felt inspired to make some fan art for Elsin and Kalim. Still latched onto the idea of these two talking and becoming friends! (Elsa, someone who was forcibly isolated from her younger sister, making said younger sister believe she was basically unloved, and the rest of society after causing them harm, and Kalim, someone who clung tightly to the person who got poisoned on his behalf causing said person to begin to resent him)

Also, let them set up their snow-come business. I believe in their capitalistic potential

Aun: looks like hamad, bangs, feathers under and near his ears. A messy scarf wrapped around his head like the scarabia students have. Often with a timid expression, and of course: parrot wings he can fold under his clothing.

Hamad: looks similar to Aun, but no bangs. Messy hair with a scarf wrapped around his head. Big smile, confident posture. Thick eyebrows. He’s larger than life.

Jean: a white boy. If you took a bunch of british youtubers and put them in a blender he’d be what comes out. Slightly curly/fluffy blond hair. Strong jaw. Slightly handsome but not enough that you’d notice. He dresses fashionably, but in that slightly hipster british youtuber way, so its casual clothing like t-shirts with knit shrugs or long coats and jeans that really mean he looks like anyone you could find in a walmart. Again, he’s just a bunch of british youtubers in a blender.

Iftikar: a bit more heavyset than the rest of the cast, not fat, but more filled out, like a linebacker in football (the american kind). His size makes him seem taller than he is, and he uses it to loom over others. His hair is black, but his eyes are the red of the asims.

Aciano: tall, (almost too) thin, always in purple. Sharp cheekbones, sharp everything. Sharp contrast to his best friend.

Krohn: you know kronk? He’s kronk but a teen. Broad shoulders, slim waste, strong jaw, towers over Aciano.

Shar: a scar on his face, tiger ears and tail, tall and broad, strong legs. Might have stripes on his skin.

Ratigonder: a complete human who somehow looks like a rat in the most insulting way possible. Surprisingly strong, he’s iftikar’s muscle

Tbh, I am also surprised sometimes at how well we were keeping up updates! Guess the AO3 curse finds us all in the end!

But we are still moving forward and working on trhis story we love so much!
