Do not tell me that your best friend wouldn’t shop up to school for three days because she could not bear to see your empty seat in biology.

Do not tell me that your older brother wouldn’t be able to pass your room without looking inside and hoping you’d just be asleep in bed.

Do not tell me that your girlfriend/boyfriend wouldn’t sit in your closet crying while wearing one of your hoodies and hoping the smell of you stays with them forever.

Do not tell me that your English teacher wouldn’t leave class to go cry in the teacher’s lounge after hearing the news because you were his favourite student.

Do not tell me that your mother wouldn’t spend an hour staring at the mirror in the morning with trembling lips wondering how to start the day.

Do not tell me that your group of friends wouldn’t stare blankly at the gym walls as your Principal announced to the school that you are dead.

Do not tell me that your father wouldn’t constantly wonder why he didn’t do a better job at protecting you from the monsters under the bed.

Do not tell me this bullshit line about the stars and the sun and the moon because without you we do not fucking want them.
