So we released HIVESWAP Friendsim Vol. 3 today, but sort of just shared the Google Play link without really saying “hey, this game we love is also available now on Google Play for all Android users!” Well … there ya go. We just said it. It feels good! 

Hey guys!!! Hiveswap Friendsim Volume 3 is out, and it has a lot of worldbuilding and cool info in it! That of course has me super hyped, but it’s also sort of daunting when I consider that, properly, all of said worldbuilding, and the new character and location pages, need to be written into the MSPA Wiki.

Back in the day, this wasn’t a problem, as dozens of people would rush to update the wiki after every Homestuck update. Unfortunately, that’s not so much the case any more… in fact, for the last two Hiveswap Friendsim releases, and for much of the current Hiveswap lore on the wiki, many articles and big sections of ingo have been written pretty much solely by me!

I quite enjoy creating articles, adding links, images, updating sections on older pages, etc. But the issue is I’m only one person with only so much time, and my to-do list is getting so long that I don’t think I will be able to keep up with it, especially with all these super frequent Friendsim releases which each carry so much info. Other people are also working on the wiki sporadically of course, but overall activity is low, and left to their own devices pages end up being missing from the wiki, or simply being bare-bones.

I am invested in the wiki continuing to be a compendium for all things Homestuck and MSPA, as I know it’s a useful reference for a lot of people. But the fact is, as a fan-sourced wiki it can’t continue to be useful unless people add content to it! Every little bit of help is appreciated, but it’d be really cool to have more people typing up some of these long sections so that I don’t have to spend hours on them all personally whenever new things come out… working together, it could all come together so much more quickly!

How about we, as a fandom, start a project to give the MSPA wiki some more love? There is a lot of stuff now that is obviously missing - the details from Cirava’s page for one, and also the volume 2 main page plot summary. Plus of course everything from volume 3, including the edits around concepts like Jadebloods, the Mother Grub, and the Brooding Caverns, wherein many older pages may need to be updated!

I think a lot of people aren’t aware of what a skeleton crew project the MSPA wiki is these days, so it’d be really cool if we spread some awareness and found more people willing to compile information about Homestuck and Hiveswap on the fandom’s biggest compendium! Perhaps we should make some noise and really get people into adding the new content? I don’t want the wiki to be left behind to gather dust and cease being a good reference source, it’s been going for a decade now after all! Enough of the old fandom sites have slipped into oblivion already.

Holy smokes! It’s a Friendsim announcement! Yes, to celebrate this TOTALLY UNREMARKABLE DATE, weed like to give you a little teaser for the next volume. We’re in high spirits to announce that FRIENDSIM VOLUME 2 will be releasing on Friday, April 27, just one small week away! We can’t give you all the details yet – those will be up on the Steam page soon enough, anyway – but if you toke a look you might just be able to figure out who’s starring in this one. Hopefully, you’ll see someone you juana befriend! And if not, there’s plenty more to come – to be blunt, they’re all looking pretty dope. So mark it down on your calendars – April 27! You really cannabis it! … Okay, that one kind of sucked.

HOMESTUCK ZINE: A CALL FOR ARTISTS

Happy somewhat belated 4/13, everyone! We’re super pleased to be able to finally announce the launch of ASPECT, the first 100% officially backed and endorsed Homestuck Zine!

The zine will celebrate the 12 aspects of Homestuck and the various characters that possess them, as well as their accompanying powers, abilities or themes. Each aspect will have 2 available slots, and the final, completed product will have 24 artists (2 per aspect). The final zine will be available for purchase in both digital and physical versions upon release.

Applications for ASPECT will be open for 2 WEEKS, so be sure to apply soon!
