Ever thought to yourself, "Elder McKinley would probably be making breakfast right now," or "Nabulungi would probably be having fun painting with her friends right now"? And then cried a little? Because you just love them so much?
Well, this is a blog just for that!!!
I've just made this blog to post about random thoughts of what any TBOM character might be doing at any given moment, like little status updates. Despite the title being 'Just District 9 Things', there will be posts about any and all TBOM characters :)
Asks are very strongly encouraged!!! Send ideas or headcanons and I'll incorporate them into the status updates!!!
The goal of this blog is really just to have fun and be silly, but also hopefully inspire some headcanons, fanworks, or fanfictions. And characterisation discussion in general i guess. But mostly fun!!!

Posts will stick to a specific format! Mostly, "[Character] is currently [Whatever they're doing]", sort of inspired by the Hunger Games simulator if you've ever played with that. There'll probably be lots with multiple characters, too. So, when asks are submitted, most of what I'll be doing is restructuring an idea or headcanon into that format for simplicity :) Don't shy away from sending long headcanons/ideas though! I love to read people's characterisations :)
Posts will be seasonal/timed! I think? Generally when it's warm and sunny I'll have more thoughts about characters having fun in the sun and when it's close to winter I'll post more about them bundling up all cosy. With a few exceptions every now and then, because I don't have it in me to wait till December to think about Kevin Price sipping hot chocolate curled up in a blanket...
As for timing, at night there'll be more posts about characters maybe getting ready for bed, and in the morning there'll be posts about them going about their morning routine. But my sleep schedule's a mess, I can't be arsed timing posts that well, and timezones exist. So in theory posts will be timed, but in practice probably not.
I have no idea what this blog is based on! I swear I remember there being these sorts of fandom status update blogs back in the day, but I can't for the life of me remember a specific one or remember what they were called. If anyone also remembers or knows what they're called, lmk lol i'm curious
I will get shitposty... With the nature of the fandom making a ton of headcanons out of thin air for background characters with one or two lines, things are probably going to get a little fanon-y, a little crackfic-y, if you will.
This is a multishipping haven! I myself will probably stick to vague McPriceley and ChurchTarts if any blatant shipping occurs? But I'll happily accept suggestions for numerous ships, even if they contradict previous posts!!
With my own posts, unless something involves kissing, excessive blushing or a suggestive remark (which will be tagged #suggestive!), I won't be tagging with a ship tag (#shipping + #the tag for the ship name). But, if you submit an ask with multiple characters, feel free to specify if you'd like for it to be tagged as ship or not, regardless of its contents!
Angst?! The extent of angst on this blog will probably be limited to references to hell dreams and the like! Nothing more than hurt/comfort probably. This will mostly all be lighthearted if not occasionally bittersweet stuff.

I only have so many headcanons for so many characters, so, again, asks are very very encouraged!! Even if you don't have a specific idea for a status update in mind, please feel free to ramble and I'll do what I can with it :)

Elder Price and Elder McKinley are bickering about who's turn it is to wash the dishes. Price knows it's definitely his turn but he's doing an unfortunately good job steering the blame onto Cunningham.

Elder Church is having a go at Elder Neeley because he's not holding his corner of the blanket taut enough to keep their massive living room pillow fort structurally sound.
Elder Price, Elder Cunningham, and Elder Davis are all in the kitchen pretending to be preparing snacks when really they're just chatting 'cause they don't want to help build the fort.
Elder Zelder and Elder Schrader were meant to be back from the attic with board games an hour ago but they've become distracted by all the odd bits and bobs up there.
Elder Michaels is lying down in the middle of the half finished pillow fort, one leg in the air holding the blanket aloft to act as a placeholder for a chair. He loves listening to Church and Neeley be dicks to each other because he doesn't like either of them.
Elder McKinley and Elder Poptarts are consciously ignoring Church and Neeley's issues with the pillow fort while they engage in a very serious discussion about the fairest way to decide on what movie to watch.
