just another polyglot

For the last couple of days, Chile has been affected by more than 90 wildfires covering more than 230.000 hectares (568.342 acres), and most of them are out of control. As I’m writing this, the death toll has risen to ten. 

Last night, an entire town was burned to the ground, more than 1000 families lost everything the had in a matter of minutes. But that is just one town and there are hundreds more in danger. Our helicopters and firefighters are doing everything they can but unfortunately, it is not enough. Which is why I’m writing this. Please donate if you can, even by spreading this post you’re helping . The money would go towards the firefighters (energy drinks, food, water, sunscreen), water tanks, and the people who’ve lost everything (food for cattle, hygiene products, etc).

We are familiar with natural disasters and well prepared, but this is the worst wildfire Chile has seen in modern history and we are obviously overwhelmed. Chile is long but very narrow and there are parts of the country where the fire barricated entire towns, the fires go from the Andes to the ocean, and people have nowhere to go.
