Woke up this morning after dreaming about lost things and cried.

One of the saddest things a person can do is to delete an old blog, throw out an old journal, recycle old letters. Yes, your past self is embarrassing, and will always be embarrassing, but don’t destroy them for that. There will be times when you suffer from feelings not quite nostalgic, not quite lonely, not quite sad, but a little of all three, and you will need that past self. There’s an odd sort of comfort in remembering who you once were, even if you never want to be that person again.

Working at an elementary school is the best

Are they drunk or a highschooler? The game of family fun for everyone.

Okay, Winter, I was ready for you. I had finally figured out how to get my scarf tied just right. I had finally abandoned my bike for a good pair of walking boots. I had finally lasted a day without cursing your name. And how do you treat me? You left me! I had everything ready for you and you changed plans on me. Now I know how my bike feels.

My job is not giving you free things.

Why does the library make my head feel like it's going to explode? The air in here feels thick with the moisture breathed out by all the other patrons. I wish libraries were in an outdoor magic land of eternal grass and sun.

What is it with wintry winds and the desire to sink into a deep dark cave? Am I half bear? Are my grizzly instincts kicking in to shirk all duties but that of slumber?
