Kai was not supposed to exist. His father, Ray, a fire demon-

(demon is a placeholder word. I call the angels "halos, but uh don't want to call the demons horn... etc)

Had fallen for an ice halo, specifically the Queen Maya, whom Ray was supposed to assassinate. They had kai, who was a fire demon. Kai grew up in the volcano with Ray, and say him mom occasionally. Kai was a prodigy in the fire world.

Then nya was born. She was... different, not a halo nor a demon. And with the threat of a danger Maya sensed and her throne unstable, she sent nya to live with kai and Ray, in hiding. Then contact from the ice halos ceased all of a sudden, and they were never seen again.

Nya grew up, hiding in their house. She was sick constantly, from the environment but couldn't go outside for fear of getting caught. She stayed inside, tinkering with whatever she could. The fire demons were kind of intense.

One day, she was caught, by some older kids kai used to play with. They reported her to the village and a hunt was approved. Ray told kai to go hide nya outside, while he dealt with the situation.

Kai went to his home, only to find nya already being dragged away by the same kids. He chased after them, but they were fast, and dropped her off a cliff into the sea. They left laughing, while kai dived after her. He nearly drowned in the riptide. But he couldn't save her.

Going back home only to find his father getting beheading broke something. He was called a prodigy for a reason. Nobody but him survived that night...

Jay!

Jay was all alone in the clouds, with no one to company him but his parents, Ed and Edna. Ed and Edna weren't lightning demons like him, but they were killed off by a mysterious danger that proceeded to the ice kingdom. Only Jay survived.

Jay had only the sky, and the distant sea and earth for friends. He fell in love with the sea, its mood and weather's, its constant changing. Yeah, he was quite alone.

Zane! (Ooo, I love this one.)

Zane was found, dead, propped up on a willow tree in the middle if the snow. A man, named Julian, happened to pass by. Julian immediately went to go help the angel, but only found his heart still beating.

He then built a body for Zane, placing the heart inside. The halo, the soul-intwined object they had since birth, moved to the artificial body. Zane had been reborn, as the lady of his kind.

Cole!

Cole had been the child of an earth halo and a human. His wings were small and unusable when he was born, but he was still part angel as he had his halo. But then a darkness came over the earth halos and they all fell, dying.

Cole had lived with his father, escaping the cruel fate, but his father I fear of losing Cole like he had lost Lilly, had xole hid the fact he was part angel. He took the halo from Cole, and got rid if his wings. (Eint say how, its gruesome) Cole hated his father for it.

Nya!

Nya had fallen into the ocean and for once felt like she could finally breathe. I don't have much on her story yet...

Lloyd is where the story happens. Also this us getting a bit longwinded, sorry! But this IS a summary.
