my interpretation of adrian has changed a lot over the past few years and i want to clarify that i do see him as somewhat morally gray. as the player, we control his actions and we decide whether or not he takes part in silencing the black mesa facility. this simple fact renders any moral evaluation of his character moot, and unlike gordon who is constantly being told where to go and what to do, adrian’s game is 100% survival. there’s no grand plan that’s later revealed to him, his only motive is to escape
