ok but this is the best new tumblr out there you guise.
so everyone is like “im writing off jennifer lawrence now” because of that pro fascist stuff she said but like…. y'all should’ve already wrote her off ages ago when she said she wanted to look like a “slutty power lesbian”. you shouldn’t disregard lesbophobia as a form of direct oppression and you should understand that lesbophobia is harmful. not only should you stop actively participating in lesbophobia by not calling it out but you should stand in solidarity with lesbians. i’m tired of having to boycott and call out things alone, and have the only people who respond and take action be fellow lesbians. you might think this situation is just a little thing and not worthy of being upset about but this happens all the time with every instance of lesbophobia. the only people who call out and actively stand against lesbophobia are lesbians and it’s so exhausting. where is my fucking solidarity. where is my fucking solidarity. WHERE? IS? MY? FUCKING? SOLIDARITY?
if you’re a non lesbian and you reblog this i fuck with you
She did a ton of racist shit even before the slutty power lesbian comment… making fun of a black child’s name in 2013, rubbing her butt on sacred sites in Hawaii in 2014… those ugly ass fake dreads… like, honestly as a black lesbian, if y'all could ignore her racism long enough to still be stanning for her by the time she got all the way to that comment, in 2016… where’s my solidarity?
I’m honestly really surprised by this and don’t know how to take it.
Listen you have no idea how funny I find it to be linking a YFIP post in this 2016th year of our lady Beyoncé but: http://yourfaveisproblematic.tumblr.com/post/45661326649/jennifer-lawrence You name an ism she’s done it. She especially seems to love mocking lesbians, bi people, and trans people.
Her career has been nothing but a racist, homophobic, transphobic shit show. I’m more surprised by the people who genuinely didn’t know she was shit until this week.
ughhhhh
This is legit disappointing and the best way to tell I’ve been away from tumblr for a minute: I seriously didn’t even know she did any of these things

Jason Momoa loves beer and throwing tomahawks.
Every now and then I think it would be pretty cool to drink with Jason Momoa. Then I see something like this and go “yeah but not really, someone would die.”
gdgf-shhhhhhhhhhhh:
!!!
worst job I ever had.
This, literally every single time. I only waited tables for nine months, part-time, while in high school, living with my parents, at a restaurant owned by my next door neighbors, who were wonderful folks.
But even with my literally zero stakes while working there, that brief experience was all it took for me to learn to always be compassionate to anyone serving me in any capacity, and to always tip as if their life depends on it, because it very likely does. I learned that it was hard. work. I learned that mistakes that occur in the kitchen can impact you, even though you weren’t the one who screwed up. I learned that sometimes you can put everything you have into giving people a good experience… and still have them leave without tipping, for no reason you can discern. I learned that depending on the good will of others, and of your ability to be appropriately servile and pleasant enough for them in order to secure your income can be disheartening and nerve-wracking, at the very least.
All of this is magnified a hundred-fold when you’re doing this kind of work to pay rent. To buy food. To support a family. To get thru school. To pay off medical debts. And that’s not even touching on the effects of doing this for years, with any host of issues that may make the work more difficult, painful, or stressful. It’s not fair, and it’s not right, and if you object to tipping on the grounds that you believe the system shouldn’t be setup so that tipping is necessary… great! fantastic! Y'know how to change it? Vote to change the outdated laws that permit this sort of wage-bondage to still exist in a first-world country. Not tipping doesn’t do a damn thing except make the life of another human being more difficult.
When we go out to eat, we’re often thinking of ourselves. We don’t want to cook, or we feel like having a particular type of food we don’t know how to make on our own. We’re looking to enjoy time with our friends, family, or a date that we’re hoping to impress.
I would like to propose that we take a moment to appreciate that when we go out to eat, we have the power to make someone else’s day better. Be kind to your server. Make polite requests, and remember that if something comes out incorrectly, or rather slowly, there is probably something going on behind the scenes that you’re not privy to. When you tip, do so generously. My rule is that you’re getting five bucks minimum, even if all I get is a soda. That amount is insubstantial to me, but means the world to a server, because whether they brought me a single drink, or a full meal and dessert, I was still taking up their time, and one of their tables. The fact that I’m not hungry because I already ate before meeting up with friends shouldn’t be an excuse to deprive them of the money they depend on to survive.
So, new rule: five dollar tip minimum, until that amount drops below 20% of the cost of your meal. After that, 20% for standard - or even lousy - service. Better service? Tip better! Your server just seem to be having a rough time? Add a few extra bucks! It doesn’t affect your wallet much, but it can completely turn around their entire day. Sometimes all it takes is a tip that’s better than you were expecting to buoy you thru the rest of your shift. Because it’s not just about the money. It’s about being recognized as a human being. About being appreciated, and having your needs thought about.
So please, when you go out somewhere tipping takes place, remember: it’s not all about you. You have the opportunity to make someone else’s life a little bit better. I promise, doing so will make your entire experience better, too. Because you did something good for someone else, and that’s far more satisfying than the tex-mex you just had. Even if you got the sopaipilla at the end. It’s that good, I promise.
So I posted and now I’m reposting because of this commentary. Even when service is included, chuck in a few bucks or quid or euros. Like, a custom where you don’t tip? I still tip. If you can afford to eat in the restaurant…
You can literally tell who is ex-service. 25 yrs ago we called it Karma Tips. Always tip. Always.
And not just food. Like, the poor person who has to deal with my ugly feet and toenails? Cannot tip heavily enough. Usually around 50%. I don’t care if she’s talking shit about me in another language. I have Dancer Feet and they’re gross AF and if I can afford to have someone else deal with them I can afford to top up their minimum wage.

Tabletop Gaming has a White Male Terrorism Problem
I am a gamer. I followed the call of Cthulhu and ran in the shadows with hackers and shamans. I traversed the ancient lands of Greyhawk, Faerun, and Eberron with companions new and old. I swung from an airship and buckled swash over London for the Kerberos Club. I threw dice and flipped cards and ground men into dust playing table-top wargames.
I don’t do that anymore.
Since July of 2015 fans of the game Malifaux have been attempting to overwhelm me with death and rape threats for no other reason than I am a woman who has opinions on the game. Wyrd Miniatures is silent on this matter and hangs up whenever anyone attempts to discuss the harassment. Given that a large number of threats identify the senders by name as Wyrd staff members, I do not find this surprising.
But that’s not what this article is about.

I wasn’t expecting to cry at this, but I am. I managed a comic, card, and gaming shop for about 3 years and the memories are hitting me like a truck. this has to stop.
I am SUPER lucky in that I’ve never had to deal with the majority of this, but SO MANY PEOPLE DO. Super loves to Sam for being my protector and buffer for game purchasing.
