this is so fucked up kendra was abandoned by her parents, couldn't even go to school, all her life she was trained to become a slayer. to kill vampires and die young. she had no family, no friends, only a watcher. she was so so alone that she named her stick mr pointy. buffy was not just a companion she could trust, someone who understood her "freak" nature but she saw buffy as nearly an older sister who looked out for her. she wanted to learn from her, she saved angel because she saw how much he mattered to buffy, she accepted to travel by plane and she gave her favorite weapon to buddy for good luck GOD THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO EAT CAKE AND WATCH STUPID SHOWS TOGETHER AFTER A SHARED PATROL

Unpopular take but Buffy/Riley is actually not nearly as bad as I remembered. I think it's just that nobody watches a sexy vampire show because they want to watch someone date a perfectly normal human, yk?
