Happy 82nd Birthday to the ever handsome, adorable, Mr Kevin Tighe! I absolutely adore this man, and I pray he has many years of lovely memories ahead of him.

I’m sad Randy Mantooth is no longer here, the only sadness to the day. Was reading the Crackyl magazine article and it states Kevin last flew to California for Randy’s 80th birthday one year ago; Randy would have been 81 next month. Issue 22 if you’d like to read more. It was timely. It was published just a week or so after Randy’s death 😔

Will love these two wonderful friends and actors the rest of my life. Let’s wish Kevin the best on his birthday!

Saint Lawrence was a Roman deacon about whom little is known but because of his martyrdom massive conversions to Christianity were the result. One legend is told when the Roman Emperor Valerian wanted the material wealth of the church, St. Lawrence presented the true treasures, the poor, handicapped, widows, orphans, and the sick. This enraged Valerian so that he had Lawrence martyred by placing him on a gridiron and burned alive.

This is courtesy of the group "Paramedics on Facebook" from Keren Heavlin who shared these photos. Her commentary on this event is included in the photos (screenshot from the Facebook page). I love these photos so much! So much credit to Randy and Kevin who throughout their lives spent/are spending time with real paramedics still (please see "Into the Unknown" documentary they co-produced when it's released later this year!); and how they have always advocated for real-life firefighters, EMS, and paramedics. Without "Emergency" and everyone involved with it, not just them, emergency services in real life would have never taken off as astronomically fast as it did. When I was a little kid we dialed "0" for the operator to get the police or fire station or ambulance. Dialing "911" was not fully in place until well into the 90s, although it very much was in many places in the later 70s and 80s (depended on where you lived). If you didn't live in those times, you can't fully appreciate what this show, and especially these two beautiful actors, did to end up literally saving lives.

I am still so sad. He’s gonna take a long time to get over…the fact that he no longer walks in this earth as I do. No longer breathes the air. Rest in peace, Randy. And thank you for the many wonderful childhood memories and also for being one of the inspirations for my profession. I popped those vials and squirted those syringes for many years in an IV hood in the hospital, just like you and Kevin did so famously ☺️. You will never be forgotten…you live on not just in the show but in generations of medical and rescue personnel that know very much who you are what you did. God bless you; requiescat in pace ✝️💔

One of today’s “Adam 12” episodes on MeTV had a special guest star! Ten months before “Emergency” premiered, season 3 of “Adam 12” has Randy Mantooth as one of the guest actors ❤️. I haven’t watched “Adam 12” since reruns in the 70s same as with “Emergency” so been watching both again. Didn’t know he had been on before his start on “Emergency.” No wonder Johnny Gage wanted to watch the show 😆

The character he plays is also a former high school track star so we get to see Randy take off running. And damn but he’s cute in a cowboy hat 🤠 😘
