Aiden stopped with her, startled by the sudden anger, âJuliet⌠you know Iâm only teasing right?â He said, hesitantly taking a step toward her. He thought about taking her hand or touching her arm but decided against it, âIâm not trying to give you a lecture, nor do I think youâre incapable in any way, shape or form. Youâre the most capable person I know. Far more capable than me,â He was so used to their teasing, back and forth rapport that he just assumed she knew when he was being serious and when he wasnât. Clearly this time, it wasnât clear, âIâm sorry. Iâll go,â They were dating and he wanted to stay but he wouldnât insist upon it if she didnât want him there.
âTo you it was a joke. I donât know how many times I had to repeat myself and you still didnât seem to grasp that I didnât find it funny. If both people arenât laughing that just makes you the asshole.â Juliet spoke as abruptly as ever, not even holding back for the sake of her boyfriend but he knew what he was getting into when he decided to date her. Juliet had never censored herself for anyone but she also knew she had a hot anger that was liable to burn anyone when she got annoyed. While she didnât want to push him away, Juliet also knew she wasnât in the right frame of mind to really have him around right now. âLook, I am not going to force you to leave Aiden but if you are here at least be supportive. You should be the person to build me up not bring me down.â
