i'm reading wuthering heights (i know i know, i'm sorry) but i just think that emily bronte may have been onto something when she somehow incorporated not one but THREE dog attacks into the first 65 pages of the novel

Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite novels. My friends don't get it but I KNOW y'all will because absolutely every character in that book sucks and it is magnificent. Not a relatable, admirable, or even decent person in the piece. One of them is written with a dialect so bizarrely transliterated you need a dictionary, a liberal arts degree and a Yorkshire upbringing to get a word of it. He talks SO MUCH. Babies are dropped. Dogs are kicked. Wives are beaten. Corpses are exhumed. An unreliable narrator every way you look. A WHOLE MESS. I live for it. I consume every page like it's 20 dollar movie popcorn and I haven't had a bite all day.
