hey guys, normally i try to keep drama off of my blog but this is really important. I just wanted to let you know that someone named WetWorkKing05 has been taking credit for MY kills over on redbloodle.com and is making money off of my hard work. When I messaged him directly he blocked me and threatened to kill ME >_> I’ve tried talking with the mods about getting his account taken down, but redbloodle has NO policy for this and they are no help at all. i don’t know what to do??
PLS signal boost if you can! And in the meantime, if you need somebody killed, do NOT hire WetWorkKing05! he is a THIEF!

”um why would I pay a hitmen would I could just steal military ai and have it kill anyone I want for free”
Ai military robots can not murder like real hit men, they’re messy and lack the spirit that involves murder
I’m never leaving this fucking app.

For better or worse, nothing summarises my feelings about being a former brain drain emigrant (to a certified Virtuous Civilised Country) and returnee (to a certified Shite Country) quite as accurately as *Reclusiarch Grimaldus in Helsreach voice* "I will die on this world."
I drew one of my favorite parts from the entire book!

unrepentant tiktokers who haven't thought critically since 2019 will hear a criticism of tiktok and be like "how are you gonna hate a whole app 😂😂💯🤡" I do hate tiktok. yes all of it. I don't care about whether the content is good or bad, I hate the fundamental function of that app which is to get you addicted to the zero-effort dopamine hit you get from consuming shortform content algorithmically tailored to you, erode your attention span, and promote consumerism. this is true regardless of whether or not you "found your community" on tiktok or use it as an escape or a coping mechanism. this does not add nuance to the discussion the way you think it does. i do not care and i am not obligated to care and I hope that app one day gets class action lawsuited into oblivion

Mechanicum (the Horus Heresy novel #9 by Graham McNeill) is getting published on my local book market next month and I am tempted to buy it but here's the thing, what if the translation is shite? I know McNeill isn't exactly Shakespeare and it shouldn't be a tough job to put together a decent, readable translation of his writing, but I disliked the translation for Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie* so much I ragequit reading English-language grimdark lit in translation and I'm not too keen on repeating the experience. Course I could just buy the original English ebook for cheap but am tired of ebooks at the moment, and the Mechanicum/Admech is speshul enough to me that I am, from time to time, shelling out actual moneez on physical books** that feature my favourite faction.
*I'm not even sure it was terrible, in hindsight. I only remember that I hated it. Might've been a "me" problem.
**Paperback editions ofc. Don't even get me started on the prices for second-hand copies of Forges of Mars.
Two chapters in and I am already mad at one glaringly wrong grammatical mood (indicative where there should have been a subjunctive, o-fucking-bviously) and word choices that have me like, "was this just plain wrong/clunky in the original text or did the translation fuck up the meaning of this verb in this specific sentence?"
I will never bother with translated editions again. Even accounting for a mid-at-best writing quality in the original text, no hardback is worth this many proofreading fails.

大洋さんから届いた絵 #386
松本大洋さんから、ひと言。
「痛いような暑さの夏が去り、 痛いような寒さの冬がきましたね。 星がきれいです。」
MWW Artwork of the Day (6/16/25) Guglielmo Ciardi (Italian, 1842-1917) Vele in Laguna [Sails in the Lagoon of Venice](c. 1880) Oil on panel, 34.5 x 55 cm. Private Collection
The grandeur of the city serves merely as a backdrop to the sky, the sea, and the modest lives of the city's working inhabitants, primarily gondoliers and fishermen. Ciardi developed paintings of the calm sea under bright sunlight to such a level of refinement that they have come to define the artist. This painting is a trademark example of this; the contrasting and sharply defined areas of light and shadow and the almost geometric shapes of the sails, standing proud against the sky, show a particular debt to the macchiaioli, but the whole is somewhat softer, characterised by shimmering reflections and a suffused atmosphere of extraordinary stillness in which sky and water seem to melt together.
