Noche en Ucrania🖌️ Stepan Feodorovich Kolesnikov 1879-1955) ruso nacido en 1879. Después de dejar Rusia a principios de la década de 1920, se instaló en el Reino de Serbios, Croatas y Eslovenos (más tarde Yugoslavia), donde continuó pintando hasta su muerte en 1955.

František Dvořák, born František Bruner, trained in Prague, Vienna, and Munich. He enjoyed success with exhibitions in continental Europe, the UK, and the US, but received little appreciation in his home country until late in his life. At the time he painted The Angel of the Birds, Dvořák was strongly influenced by spiritualism, which he had been exposed to during his time in the US.

This is the Grave of Maria Magdalena Langhans by Johann August Nahl. Nahl was hosted by the pastor and his pregnant 28yo wife Maria Magdalena when she died during childbirth. Moved by this, he decided, by himself and without being commissioned to do so by anyone to make this grave for her. It became a huge place of pilgrimage for the next 150 years.
