HEEEELP i can't stop listening to the new interpol song help help help
On 14 June 2026, a Russian drone attack damaged the Dormition Cathedral (est. 1073), Kiev Pechersk Lavra.
The damage, likely from a Geran-2 drone, included destruction of a significant portion of the roof, damage to the main dome and cupola, and significant fires within the structure. This was the first time the structure was targeted in an armed conflict since World War II.

when I was a little kid at some point I got upset with my parents because I didn't have a crucifix in my bedroom and they did- I was like why do YOU get to be safe from vampires??? you're okay with me getting my blood sucked???? so we took a little trip to the catholic store but the one closest to us was run by a group of nuns that had been moved here from romania. I got a little baby pink cross and this sweet old nun was like 'aww, is this a baptism gift?' and I was like no. I need to be protected from vampires. and she immediately got SO serious and was like 'this is the best one we've got, you'll definitely be safe' and since she was literally from vampire land I was convinced she was like, van helsing. like the whole time my parents had been laughing about how cute my fear was but she literally Knew dracula and was taking my concerns seriously I held this over my parents for so long lmfao
my 5 yo son: this is a song about people and animals dying when they get too old! *harpsichord noises* and this is a song about silly fighting men dying in the war! *harpsichord noises* actually it's a cello song *cello noises*

A march celebrating Orthodox Easter in Moscow’s Red Square (May 1918). This would be the last big Orthodox celebration in the city for over seven decades. Patriarch Tikhon of Moscow is in the centre of the second photo. He would be arrested by the Bolsheviks in 1922, but not executed, probably because of his great influence.
