Hi! I mentioned I really liked plague primal so I kind of wanted to talk about that I guess? A bit more rambly than the nature one I did since I’m more awake tonight,,, One of the things I mentioned in this submission over here was I liked the whole concept of the wyrmwound and how plague has good potential for horrific monstrous dragons, and so!! let’s just go into how I think the primal might work with this!! It’s stated that “Even the dragons who settle along the crater’s edge stay clear of this pustule lake, wary that any contact could wipe them out, or turn them into something monstrous.” in the description of the wyrmwound. What if there were something like a sort of infectious disease that traveled through the air around the wyrmwound could create the effects of the wyrmwound’s terrors on a minor degree? This is what I think the primal could be!! When you send a dragon to the plaguebringer, she more than likely throws them into the wyrmwound for experimentation; perhaps those that managed to escape were capable of covering every possible entrance into their body except their eyes, causing them to mutate into what we know as the primal. It’d be one of those good good gorey gross mutations that would of course happen while they’re very much alive regardless of whether they’re asleep or not so for those that like making their dragons suffer ;o Alternatively, if a dragon is lore’d up to have hatched with these eyes, perhaps the shell of their egg could’ve been weak in a way that let the disease get in, once again causing the mutation.

Since the eyes are probably one of the most sensitive parts on a dragon exposed to the air, I think that this would make sense in a way I suppose? I imagine that since it’d only fuck with their eyes - something I assume are now highly sensitive when compared to before - there’d be dragons distancing themselves from others for the fear of scaring them off, others that’d intentionally use their eyes to scare the shit out of those around them, and then a sort of.. watcher I suppose? Plague primal eyes go on the front and sides of the head, making it so that once they’d gotten use to their new sight range they’d be capable of being a sort of watcher for the clan and patrols, most likely being able to see what’s completely behind them in their peripheral

Many people seem to forget that not everyone can afford predicts after the cost of the coin or even have the ability to draw for them. The cheapest coin on average is a RBC = 4gp or ~2.4mill bp, followed by metal at ~5.5mill bp. The most costly coins are anywhere from 90-150gp up to 200gp for Plat/HBC/BC. Money coins such as blind date are ~105gp at 1:3. Many players hardly carry more than ~20-40gp and lets say 4-6mill bp. While I can agree that how someone sees their baby coming out vs the artist is and most of the time will be different. I will argue that those babies are low quality for that artist.

For example, since the artist made themselves clear to be Twinky Twink (#62699) these are their examples.

Both have interesting poses and an attempt to match up markings slightly. Now lets look at the questionable ones posted

 I will argue that this is not close to looking how the babies above are. It is clear no time or thought was put into them. The one red line of this one actually bothers me the most since neither parent have a very visible just straight red line. I would also like to point out that this 

 was the response about the babies. Not everything is someone’s strength , that’s fine, but to bluntly say things like this makes it very clear that it was not cared about. It is not fair to jump on someone for their opinion when nicer babies from the same user have come back.

Also, you should not be forced to mark things as predicts just to receive a decent pet back. Scribbles are a fun and derpy coin and it’s fun to see what people get back from them. Unless you ticket someone like Aberrance you won’t get what looks like an almost perfect silver pet back and almost everyone knows this. However, getting a decent baby back, super active on site or not, should never be in the question.

Most people will prioritize actual money over site currency any day, this is nothing new no matter what site you may be on. People pick commissions over requests all the time because they get something better for the time they put in or (le gasp) have full time jobs. Take for example doing a metal coin list. You will make more GP mixing markings/colors over a Painted metal coin list which is 100x more work. Now I can charge more for people who want me? Hell yes I’ll take that over a normal list.

Also, many artist on a team are doing both PPP + regular lists. As far as I am aware almost everyone on edit teams don’t turn lists in right at deadline as they also have a real life as well. If you are truly concerned about your breeding poke an admin. They’ll know more about why your breeding is so late. It looks like one artist is suffering with the loss of an irl friend, I know of at least 2 who lost their pets in the last week, two have a lot of irl issues, and another is currently in constant pain. Those are just the ones you see posting/vocal about things. This doesn’t excuse things being so late, but again poke the admins. They can either encourage them to finish it or reassign yours/find out what’s wrong.

I just don’t know what to say. I was so, so looking forward to what would come out of this scribble breeding, especially when so many amazing babies have come out of scribble breedings since they came out. I don’t know how to talk about these positively, I know I’m going to get crucified for artist bashing, but I can’t make myself like these. And I can’t really take them to the breeding mistakes thread, there’s not anything “wrong” other than being low quality. I don’t know. I doubt anyone would buy them. Waste of a coin, I guess.
