@transhuman-y
this is one of the largest single pieces of evidence for a god that I know of
messy thing just to get my thoughts down
And then we also have to take into account that autism can show up differently in women and is often not detected or takes years to be detected since its pattern is not as 'traditional' as the pattern men show with autism.

I used to think communication was the key until I realized comprehension is. You can communicate all you want with someone but if they donât understand you, its silent chaos.
anyone heading back to school in the US to live on a college campus for the fall semester should uhhhhhhhhhhhh pack light and have a plan to get the hell out of dodge at a momentâs notice
this sounds jokey but iâm dead serious. if you plan on living on a college campus this fall please know that there is no amount of cleaning or âdistancingâ will keep COVID out of the school. these schools know that they are risking your life and the lives of their faculty by bringing people back on campus but they want your money more than they care if you live.Â
think about how unventilated dorm rooms are. think about how you somehow have a cold for 4 months straight at school. think about how fast the flu moves through a dorm. think about how foolish people act at when theyâre drunk with friends. all it takes is one get together where 5 people remove their masks to play kings cup and the whole school is fucked.Â
you need a plan now. you need to pack light so you can leave quickly if necessary. you need to work out now how you will get home in the event that you need to be off campus immediately. if by some miracle youâre still there by october you can cross that bridge when you come to it. but you need to make a plan now.
As a faculty member, I am currently sitting in an hours-long training literally all about how to switch to online instruction in the (almost inevitable) event that we have to go fully online after opening up. Everyone is pissed.
some of you don't see ableism as a real issue and it shows
like I see ableism everywhere, even in feminist spheres. I see people throwing around "crazy" "psycho" "narcissist". i see so called feminists saying the r slur WAY too easily.
we're completely left out of environmental conversations or just dismissed (see: the straw ban). we're collateral damage in their eyes.
I've seen a skinny woman get abuse and hate for posting a selfie of her in her wheelchair and tagging it as "body positive", told she was "hijacking the movement".
black disabled or mentally ill (like schizophrenia) people die, and i see people excusing it as "how was he acting?" as if being mentally ill is a fucking death sentence!
disabled women are more at risk for abuse, especially at the hands of carers, and its glossed over! nobody ever talks about it!
abled feminists call us inspirational. the government only cares about us when we can do something for it, like playing in an elite basketball team (like my husband used to. the second he stopped, he stopped getting aid).
shit, you guys need to take ableism more seriously. stop dismissing us. we matter.
If this is useful for any of my followers.

People have started vomiting after exposure to a new gas in Portland, possibly the older gas known as Adamsite. If you are going to any protests, and require regular oral medication, please be aware of this new risk.Â
The gas in question is yellow, and quickly disperses into the air becoming transparent. People in the area have noted a chlorine-like smell, and some photographic evidence suggests it may have caused direct damage to plantlife in the area. The precise nature of the gas remains unknown, and this information is coming directly from on-the-ground sources. However the police have also been using expired teargas munitions, which can decompose into other chemicals. Keep this in mind since it remains possible that the symptoms are being caused by over-exposure to regular teargas, particularly if it had expired.Â
If a vomiting agent is in fact being used, it is likely a strategy to get people to take off their masks. This poses obvious risks given the COVID pandemic, but also provides opportunities for law enforcement to gather photographs of protestors for later retaliations.Â
If you suspect you have been exposed to any unknown chemicals - or have had excessive exposure to teargas - please get regular health screenings from the relevant professionals, including cancer screenings if at all possible. Chemical weapons can cause a variety of health problems, so documenting any evidence that a condition could have been directly caused by exposure may be critical for later legal retaliation against authorities.Â
Some local chemists are collecting mask filters exposed to the gas in the hopes of identifying it, along with any other new chemical agents being used. Hopefully more definitive answers will come soon.Â
fun funeral facts
embalming, the process of chemically preserving a corpse, is typically not required by law. unless you need to transport the body long-distance or postpone the burial, itâs 100% a vanity thing.
a body still rots in air-tight conditions. so âprotectiveâ or âsealedâ caskets are basically a scam, and anything fancy like metal is a waste of money.
want a beautiful casket for a viewing, but think burning or burying an expensive piece of hardwood is a waste of money and trees? rentals exist.
you donât need a coffin for cremation. the minimum requirement is that the body be in a âcremation container,â which is a simple cardboard box.
home funerals are an option. you donât need to hand the body over to a funeral home, and you can keep their involvement to a minimum.
natural burial sites exist. you can have your unembalmed body straight up thrown in the dirt to be tree food, if you want.
there are a lot of funeral homes that will prey on your ignorance and vulnerability in order to get as much money out of you as possible. they may imply optional certain services are legally mandatory, steer you away from cheaper options, charge additional costs for whatâs supposed to be all-inclusive services, etc.
one personâs death is another personâs profit. know your rights, do your research, and apply the same scrutiny you would to any other business.

So I told one of my managers yesterday that I would be needing time of work this Tuesday to go and vote because I didnât realize I was scheduled for a long shift and wonât be off before the polls close.
She then proceeds to ask me why I couldnât early vote.
I tell her that I guess I could have but I didnât and the option was now closed and my next and last chance is Tuesday.
Cue her giving me a hard time for not early voting.
I politely tell her that I didnât so Iâll be requiring time off on Tuesday.
Her response?
âI mean weâll try to get you out.â
Umm no.
I say - âLegally the law requires that you allow me time off work to go vote.â
Her response?
âYes, I mean legally it does.â
Yes bitch, legally! As in the law! As in it is my right!
So whatever, I leave her office with a bad taste in my mouth and run into a coworker (whoâs worked there as long as Iâve been alive), and I tell her about what happened.
She goes OFF, tells me I better make sure they let me go vote Tuesday and that if they try to fight me on it to tell them to look in their files for the law that she printed off for them years ago stating my right to do so.
So she leaves and I feel a bit better but just for shits and giggles I decide to look up the law for Tennessee voting rights (I knew it was a law that they have to let you off but I didnât know the exact parameters.)
You know what Tennessee law says?
Up to three hours PAID time to go vote, (and my dumb ass was planning on clocking out.)
You best believe that if someone tries to argue with me Tuesday Iâll be slapping down a copy of that law and my ACLU membership card, Iâm pretty sure they donât want to be hearing from those lawyers.
If anyone else needs information about voting rights in their state:
Information about State Laws on Voting Rights/Time Off to Vote provided by job and employee rights advocacy organization Workplace Fairness.
And just an FYI: most states require you to let your employer know that youâll be taking time off to vote the day before you plan on doing it
Oh god, its happening soon
part of me is like âwhat the fuck do you mean next week is august when last week was mid aprilâ but then the other part of me is like âapproximately 7 years have passed since december 2019 and july 2020âł so thatâs fun
There was pushback. People formed rapid response and migrant support networks, blockaded and occupied facilities, blocked vans with human walls, attacked and boycotted financial sponsors, protested outside the homes of ICE officers, provided legal support and material aid to detainees, etc. In one particular wave of arrests ICE only kidnapped I think less than 10% of their target number and admitted themselves that it was because of popular resistance
Yes, the ICE operations were a clear predecessor to this and people really shouldnât be as surprised as they are, but pretending that resistance to these fascist policies is smaller than it really is is nothing but demoralizing. It gives people the impression that itâs too late, that theyâre all alone, that no one is standing with them in solidarity
But weâre fighting. We always have been, and we always will as long as injustice exists. And we need your help!

People of color literally do not have to explain shit to you as a white person it is always one hundred percent on you to educate yourself oh my god
I donât care if youâre fifteen there are fifteen year old people of color who are suffering because of your racist actions you donât get to play the minor card to get out of racism
