one of my strongest anime opinions is that light should have had to kill L with his own two hands. make him confront the reality of what he’s been doing all along. make L’s death more narratively satisfying and less convoluted. i’ve heard there was debate between the author and publisher on if light should get to “win” and i think not being able to kill L with the death note (the thing that makes him a god) and having to get his hands dirty in this very human and intimate way would have been a really interesting compromise

"Aro/Ace person gets given a love potion" story but instead of them being immune or whatever, it DOES work, and they realize IMMEDIATELY that they've been fed a love potion because this feeling is so wrong and foreign but everyone keeps laughing off the idea of it being a love potion because "they were probably just a late bloomer" or "no, you just finally found the right person!" and it's just a horror story about how no one believes them even though they know, they KNOW this isn't right and they can't stand it.

It doesn’t quite fit this but there is a video game called “Good Luck Seducing an Ace Witch” about a witch who got tricked by her friends into trying to make a love potion and one of the bad endings involves her successfully making it and it working on her

i told my dad the joke “dad jokes are just mom jokes that a man repeated louder” and he thought it was hilarious. he turned to my mother, intending to relay the joke to her, and a bare second after he opened his mouth i watched it dawn on his face that he was about to become the subject of the joke. when i tell you that man was slackjawed as he turned back to me, like he had an entire life altering realization in the span of about 20 seconds.
