I handed in 3 essays; 1x 1200 words, 1x 2000 words and 1x 3000 words! So happy I got it all finished in time, even though it might have stressed me out a few times XD Now I just need to wait for my results which can take a while because the teachers are on a strike.. so basically they are not marking any assignments until further notice.

My final assignment before Christmas is a group presentation next Tuesday. We'll do a presentation about DreamWorks Animation and their strategic management. 

Just before starting working on my assignments it was Pins (flatmate) birthday on Halloween. So we celebrated her birthday by having an amazing green Thai curry, followed by home-made cake from Emily. Afterwards we had pre-drinks in our flat with a lot of people and finished the evening at Fruity. Fruity is a Friday night-out at the University Union nightclubs. 

I booked my train tickets to Edinburgh. I’ll visit Cécile and stay at her place during the last weekend of November. I’m so excited for this weekend and she even made a day-by-day plan full of activities! =D

Yesterday I saw a movie called #ChicacoGirl at The Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds. This movie was screened as part of the 28th Leeds International Film Festival. This movie or maybe I should say documentary shows different perspective of the revolution in Syria. It shows how social media can influence the revolution and how it can be used as a tool to show the worlds what’s really going on instead of the censured material brought by the local government. Just when we walked outside the theatre we walked straight onto the Christmas markets in Millennium Square, this feeling was a surreal and the Christmassy feeling was in such a huge contrast to the serious documentary we just seen where people have died during their battle.

Next weekend is my first concert with Concert Band and Sinfonia. Both orchestra’s perform at the same concert on Saturday. Hopefully all goes well because I have missed some rehearsals due to the loads of assignments. I’ll give you a short update after this weekend how it all worked out. On Sunday I will see a performance by Forced Entertainment in the Howard Assembly Room, which is located in Leeds Grand Theatre, with Mareike (German, course mate).   According to The Guardian, Forced Entertainment is ‘one of Britain’s greatest theatre companies’. That this show should be very interesting as well.
