"I was just… thinking… that most people here don’t know their manners. At least the ones I’ve been taught. Though seeing as it’s a different world, it’s to be expected…" No, I’m going to hide on that roof and throw bricks at people.
"Right you are, darling," she's pleased to hear such a thing, finally another understood her pain, sweat and tears. "Of course! I believe must should know their basic manners. It is so unfortunate most do not, no matter where they come from." Please don't do that-- someone might die.
"Call me wrong mother dearest, but uh. I’m pretty sure good role models start with themselves before the go out and start tellin’ other people what to do. If it’s all the same… I think I’ll stay believin’ what my mother told me before I died. Thanks."
"Did I ever state I wished to be someone's role model? While the idea is absolutely charming, I only wish to spread what I know across the globe." Which is so much.
"Very well, although you now know the truth."
"You’re gonna have to excuse me when I say that I don’t believe that was a humble apology. At all."
Cue internal groaning.
"Caught me out, have you? Very well." All these peasants gave her a headache.
"Excuse me, miss?" Goodbye.
"I couldn't help but notice, you spoke of manners." Sticking in her nose where it wasn't needed. "Might I ask why?" Come back.

"Noooo… but I’m pretty sure I’d teach kids how to read the mood…."
No he wouldn’t. He’d teach them how to freeze door locks and pack snowballs.
"Everyone has different parenting skills I guess. Maybe they were lies but boy did it give me some bit of hope."
"Read the mood? Ha, as if something that regulated is possible." She wouldn't be surprised, although she doesn't want to believe it.
"Very well, I shall take you up on your word. People lie, do they not? I am simply here, stating the truth. I humbly apologise if I crushed your dreams and aspirations." No.. she really isn't sorry.
"Manners…"
"Yes, you!" Manners senses are tingling.
Grooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaan.
"Alright. Awesome. So I apparently need to start picking flowers and change my wardrobe. Yeah. Stellar. Look, miss, I don’t know where you get off ruinin’ a guy’s memories of his own mother and all, but come on. Seriously?"
Ohhhh believers came in all sorts but tonight was just a magnet for really mean spirited and high strung girls wasn’t it.
"You could always start with your posture, dear," Yes, that was always a good start. "I am a mother myself, I understand clearly what is right, and what is wrong. Why on earth would I teach my own child such lies?" The fact Brady was the same age as her doesn't count.
"Would you rather have the world lie to you? It is simply how I was brought up to be." Noooooble and all.
"Y’know… my mom used to say, back when I had a mom and all, that if a girl was mean to you it meant she really actually liked you. Man. I hope she’s right."
"Luckily for you, I am here to teach you a thing, or two," As blunt as ever, Maribelle.
"Your mother lied, it does not mean a thing. Have you not thought of a reason why we are stating such truths? Obvious enough you must be doing something wrong."
”Well, I suppose you’re correct. There’s nothing wrong with teaching someone manners, and Severa certainly is lacking from what I’ve observed, but there must be a more efficient way of doing so…?" As opposed to the inevitable argument that is going to occur.
"Of course I am, there is no point in denying simple factors. Indeed, which is why I happened to offer her such help, although she claimed to not need it. Which is highly untrue, how uncouth.." Maribelle hardly wanted to start an argument with someone her son's age, even a few years younger from the noble herself-- but something needed to be done.

"Well I was brought up knowing that everything you parents say are worthless and you all won’t keep to your words so even if I did go there, I’m probably already smarter than most of the people who’ll be there! You should have some respect and stop speaking to me, you don’t know what I need!" No, you’re sassing and stuff I don’t need that in my life.
"Whatever problems you hold towards your mother and father is non of my concern, however I will not have you speaking such nonsense," Brady turned out just fine, didn't he? Yeah, he did!
".. you state so, and yet you seem quite unsure. Perhaps you should take a leaf out of your own book-- and respect your elders. I am trying to help you, dear. You are quite the lost cause." Sassing? Look at yourself. Do it, she will even give you a discount.
”Severa… Maribelle… There’s more than enough discord in this city without you two bickering about needless things.”
"Manners are not needless things, are they? I am simply educating the girl as I have been." As Cordelia clearly hadn't.
"You’d think full grown adults would have enough common sense and not get into arguments with kids, but like I said, certain people were lacking. You’re one of them." Lorde have mercy, why is she going through this.
"I believe you seem to forget I have been brought up learning simple manners, which I cannot say for you, and half of these dredged peasants within the vicinity of this city." Come to Maribelle, Severa... She'll teach you proper manners.
"You all should be HAPPY that there’s a library."
"Half of you lack common sense anyway so I do suggest you all take your time and go to it, hmph."
"For someone such as yourself, you are lacking! Perhaps you should listen to your own advice, hmm?" Tough life being a noble.
Citizens of Hive City! Have you ever wondered what life was like, thousands of years ago in the prehistoric era, how what would be man learned to survive on his own two feet with but the two hands before him and the innovation in his mind?
Have you wanted to experience the life of Augustus Nero and his descent into insanity, learning about the fall of Rome and what now stands today as the Domus Aurea?
Or perhaps you just want a guide on what to do with that left over chicken breast for dinner tonight. Look no more! Starting tonight, Hive City’s grand library shall now be opened! With Robin as the caretaker of said library, he’s looking for a bit of help.
If you’d like to work in the library for a bit of extra spending cash, please send a job application to his submit box and we’ll quickly set you up with a means of identification, and your own library card!
Application as follows
Name:
District:
Citizen Status:
Extra: (How often you can work, etc)
And that’s it! Because tending to a library really just means making sure all books are kept in line in the proper area, as well as some cleaning and the like, the only position there really is available is ‘do what needs to be done to help!’ Additionally, if you’d like to donate a book, you’ll be given the chance to write in the Big Book of Donators! Just as a commemorative thank you for donating, you can sign as you wish.
Edit: Oh one more thing! Posts involved with the library like announcements and the like will be tagged as ‘ca library’!
Edit 2: The library’s location shall be Sector 6!

❄ chill out; `` event open
Nodding her head, Lissa remained quiet just in case she started to blabber on about nonsense and end up repeating herself. It wouldn’t be very proper if she was to do that after all.
But, Maribelle was correct and this felt like it was one of the few rare events that Lissa felt grateful towards the scientist.
She wasn’t alone and had those she loved around her. That made living here a lot easier. Pulling back and wiping her eyes to get rid of the tears, the blonde managed a small smile as she looked at her best friend.
And she let out a small laugh.
“Yeah, I’ve been forced to learn how to use them. They’re all still very strange to me… and I think I overloaded the washing machine once. But they’re very useful at least!” It made cleaning by hand a lot easier, and quicker.
Unfortunately she did not have an answer for the former, but oh how Lissa wished that she did. At least her life here was an easy one so she didn’t have much reason to complain about it.
It wouldn't bother Maribelle one bit if she had, simply hearing Lissa's voice managed to calm her thoughts. For the first time the noble enjoyed being stuck within this dismal city, for now she was within the company with someone she'd known for many years.
One could only relinquish in that factor.
"Forced? Oh no, dear." With a sigh, her ringlets shook; making sense of these new equipments would not be easy, although she had Lissa to help, ever she need it. "You do have more experience with them, it seems odd. I cannot make sense of it." Thankfully it was a step up from the hand washing they knew so well.
"I am only thankful to see you well, Lissa. If we may, I believe it is time for us both to leave these colder weathers behind." A pot of tea would do nicely, her thoughts lingered upon the warmth splashing her lips. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if Lissa managed to catch a horrid, and deathly cold, either.
"We do have much to catch up on, after all."
武士道 「Ca Challenge」
They weren’t kidding when they said that people have forgotten about it…
But could he blame her for it? By the looks of it she doesn’t come from the same world as him and without a doubt they would have other codes there. Still even without knowing what it is, calling it mere commoners practices was going a little bit too far now wasn’t it? But her words did not anger him as not many things would be able to truly anger him. Truly he is no commoner, but he is no noble either. ” It’s a code, ojou-sama ” gesturing for her to come closer as the corner of his lips twitched into a small smile as he offered her some tea that he had prepared, thinking that people wouldn’t arrive this fast, but apparently they did. Hive City is truly full of surprise now isn’t it?
” It’s a code that samurais in my country must follow ”
Hopefully she would be at least familiar with that term, otherwise this was going to be a very long day or not. ” Bushidō means ‘the way of the sword’ though it doesn’t really focus on how to handle a katana ” a pause, ” But more on values that a samurai must upkeep while fighting and living ” he glanced over to her before looking at the hanging scrolls on the wall. By her current expression he could guess that she didn’t know what they meant because she can’t translate the kanji on the wall. ” They mean; Rectitude, Courage, Benevolence, Respect, Honour and Loyalty ” those are the keywords to Bushidō. ” Even today people still follow those rules, there are no longer samurais like in the past, but the rules are the same, you could say that they’ve become our unwritten rules ”
Perhaps he should explain a little bit further, ” Following the code means that you have you have to be loyal to your country and to your lord till the very end. ” and by end he meant death. ” We are not allowed to retreat from the battlefield and have to continue fighting for the country, even if that means death ” as it was also used in the many many Kamikaze attacks during the second world war. ” To fight for the country until the very end and protect those at home ” still, compared to others they went a little bit too the extreme to put it mildly. ” The army has always fought like this, from the beginning till now ” from warrior to samurai to soldier.
Still it had got him curious, was his country the only one that would go to the extreme or were there perhaps other countries in other worlds who would do the same? ” Does the country where you hail from have similar codes? ” he asked her before adding
” Ah…forgive my rudeness, I haven’t asked for your name yet ”
He couldn’t call her lady or you forever, but of course he introduced himself first before waiting for her to introduce herself in return.
” My name is Kiku, Kiku Honda it’s a pleasure to meet you miss ”
His politeness was flattering enough, slowly she approached within his words; hand clenching upon her parasol, gaze wandering across towards the gestured tea. If there was a way to calm her nerves, tea most definitely would be it.
"A code? I see," she spoke, bringing the cup towards her lips. "... I believe most codes are unspeakable. Such a code seems quite important to you, otherwise you would not be as willing."
Samurai? Well, Maribelle hadn't known of any, although his speech seemed honourable, and dignified. Much as her own distinction would be on her fellow Shepherds. Holding them all in high regard, ringlets swayed heavily with the movement of her neck.
He would be correct in stating so-- the words situated upon the scrolls made inch of sense to the noble, even within her knowing many a different language due to her upbringing. Ylisse language differentiated compared to most, but this was one she had never witnessed before.
"I do understand your wording, aside of your language differing from my own; it is no simple task to defend one's nation. War is it? I have been through many a war myself, and it seems we share similar ideals."
Even if they suffered different wording.
"Indeed they do, it is my duty, along with the rest of the Shepherds of my country to care for our King. Ylisse is the continent I hail from, and I hold much loyalty to my country." Taking a moment to pause, she hurried on with her words. "I would rather die than let it fall to rough hoodlums."
With another moment to spare, again she reached for the cup; allowing the steam to waft past the bridge of her nose.
"You may call me Maribelle, and the pleasure is all mine."
