01 Jun 1945: We are unsure whether Germany will accept our claim on the East Indies but we will probably not be in a better position politically than now. Orders have been dispatched to launch 5 simultaneous attacks across the archipelago at dawn in line with our declaration of war.

01 May 1945: Japanese high command has decided to wait for at least another month before attacking the German East Indies. If the Axis does turn against us we need to be fully prepared. Phase 2 of the Yamashita Wall is about 50% complete and more equipment is being delivered to our troops stationed around Asia.

01 Apr 1945: Phase 2 of the Yamashita Wall is underway. German presence at the wall remains heavy, but our ability to hold back an advance improves every month. Additional tanks, armoured transports and aircraft have been assigned to the front to allow our generals to quickly respond to a German Blitzkrieg

01 Mar 1945: Contingency planning for an Axis counter attack continues, another 500k infantry have completed training and have been sent to the Pakistani border to help crush this gap in our defense if they move against us.

There is considerable unrest in our furthest colonies, Australia and Hawaii. Garrison troops are in training but for now some of our marines must be left to prevent a revolt against our rule.

01 Feb 1945: 500k freshly trained infantry make their way to our western front with the Axis. Work on the first stage of the Yamashita Wall is complete - A continuous line of earthworks will give us cover from enemy assaults, backed with a railroad for fast deployments, further backed by airfields to provide close air support.

01 Jan 1945: Our marines are given orders to plan for attacks on Sumatra, South Borneo, Sulawesi and West Papua. If this operation goes well we could take all of the German East Indies in a month.

01 Dec 1944: The US lost Hawaii and the Line Islands, and with those their last safe harbours in the Pacific. The US and Australian fleets sheltering there, left with no-where to run, and engaged Yamamoto’s and Ozawa’s battle fleets. We lost 12 light ships but sank 22 light and 8 heavy ships, destroying the entirety of the Pacific Initiative’s presence in the Pacific.

We have left Yamamoto’s and Ozawa’s fleets stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii to guard against US counter attacks. Pearl Harbor has excellent docking facilities to repair after the engagement and await replacement light ships.

We now have marines free to prepare a strike on the German East Indies. Our hope it that the Axis will be unwilling to commit to an all out war on every front, which can be avoided by not defending the German East Indies from an attack.

01 Nov 1943: Midway and Phoenix Islands have been taken, We are now pushing on towards the line islands and Hawaii. Our navy has kept the ocean clear of US ships and the invasions have gone very well so far, though we expect Hawaii to be better defended.

The German build up along the western front is worrying, and only 20% of the Yamashita wall has been completed. We have called up another 2 million men from Japan and the colonies to fully reinforce the front and make full use of the defenses we are building. Their training should be complete by March 1945.
