Heard the NRA endorsed Donald Trump.
I came across a question/post on google about the whole DACA situation regarding FSU. Do you know if FSU waives off out of state tuition to DACA students, or do we have to pay the absurd 700$+ per credit? I've tried to research but have found nothing about it on their website.
You can get in-state tuition in FL if you are undocumented and meet certain requirements. Email me or message me your contact information and I can follow up!
could you provide a bio of yourself?

Living in fear of deportation
My mother, just like countless immigrant families across the country, is going to bed with added fear and anxiety tonight.
Nothing incites more fear within the immigrant community than the word "raid," a term so complex and so real that you can't help but remain in a constant state of panic - fearing that you and your loved ones could be taken and deported without warning.
For those of you who need a reason to go out and become involved, a reason to vote, a reason to help your friend or neighbor - here is one. Become informed, realize that this is what families who are American as yours are subjected to.
If you are reading this and have friends and family in the same situation - please take a look at theres resources AND SHARE THEM.
My mom is not going to be happy that I am sharing this with the world - but the truth is, this is only a snapshot of what she (and other immigrant families) has to go through day in and day out.
Stay safe out there everyone.

Meet Ricardo, One Of The Undocumented Immigrants Who Works At A Trump Hotel
Ricardo is an undocumented immigrant and works hard at three different jobs — and one of those jobs is at a Trump hotel.
In an incredible video from New Left Media, Ricardo describes working as a busboy at the only restaurant at Trump Soho, and his subsequent reaction to Trump’s claim that undocumented immigrants from Mexico — hardworking immigrants like himself — are criminals.
“I am not a criminal. I am not a drug dealer. I am definitely not a rapist,” he says.
Though he cannot vote, Ricardo uses his craft and passion — he has a degree in photography — to give a voice to himself and members of the undocumented community in New York.
In one scene of the clip, Ricardo photographs other immigrants holding signs reading, among other things, “I am not a criminal.”
Ricardo also points out that while some Republicans have criticized Trump for his comments, many of them share the same kinds of extremist positions when it comes to immigrants, Latinos, and immigration.
“I may have an accent, but I’m not stupid,” he says.
Ricardo realizes the risks in going public — specifically, getting fired — but he also wants to speak up for his family and community, and that’s a risk he’s willing to take for them.
Seth Freed Wessler reports on people going the opposite direction over the US/Mexico border. Each year hundreds of thousands of people are deported from the US to Mexico — tens of thousands more choose to leave on their own — and lots of them make the journey after years and years living in the states. Wessler explains how customer service call centers in Mexico are capitalizing on the fact that many of these people speak English with American accents. They're hiring such people, and using them to staff customer service lines for American companies. But, for those who've left the US, taking calls over and over from the place they used to call home, it can be a complicated experience.Â

We’ve got two originals from Gemma Correll left as rewards to Eat More Comics: The Best of The Nib. Get on it!
For July 4th, a story about someone who's desperately trying – against long odds – to make it to the United States and become an American. Abdi is a Somali refugee living in Kenya and gets the luckiest break of his life: he wins a lottery that puts him on a short list for a U.S. visa. This is his ticket out. But before he can cash in his golden ticket, the police start raiding his neighborhood, targeting refugees.
I am super late on this, and I apologize. But I received some wonderful gifts in the mail to help celebrate my graduation. Thank you, for always encouraging me to explore my creative side! Can't wait to get started :)
My Venezuelan husband often uses colloquialisms from his culture to describe situations we find...

"English is a very precise language. I like to use it when I'm describing technical things. But when I'm talking about my feelings, I find it easier to use Spanish."
"Why is Spanish best for describing feelings?"
"Latin people have a lot of feelings. So they have a lot of words to describe them."

Why do all memes look so similar? There are a few very good reasons.
That meme typeface is called Impact (technically, a "font" is a specific version and size of a typeface, like when it's italicized or in bold). Though Impact feels like the quintessential internet typeface, it was released in 1965.
In 2004, Geoff Lee told the now-defunct Typophile forum how he designed the typeface back in the day, using hand-cut metal to create each letter. A couple of years after creating Impact, Lee sold the typeface to the type foundry Stephenson Blake.
Stephenson Blake's early marketing materials show that from the beginning, Impact was valued for its legibility, especially over pictures. It was easy to read its thick letters even without a black outline.
WATERCOLOUR MAKES ME NERVOUS JUST WATCHING IT IN USE
This actually why I love using watercolors. My painting professor thought that acrylic & oil paints were cheating because if you make a mistake, you can slap on more paint to cover it up. With transparent watercolors you have one chance to get it right so you need to think through what you’re doing.
Also, what you’re not seeing here is I’m sure the artist has many scrap pieces of test paper. The paints look different on the palette than on paper, so testing is crucial when it comes to watercolors.
A lot to think about, yes. But the result is worth it.
