I never expect to be understood, I honestly don’t want people that close to me and the mind is a tricky terrain to navigate. I just want to be felt, touched, and released into the world to experience an existence that overshadows all of my pain and loss. An existence worthy of my approval and equivalent to the love and security I felt when you and my momma walked this Earth. I'm really out here without my best friend!!! This woman helped me keep my mind after I lost my mother, her first born daughter. I remember the days, Granny, when we would cry together and you would tell me that it will be alright, son. You were strong enough to encourage me to keep pushing while we both were at a lost in the world, wondering how/ why my Momma departed when she did. You would alway say, "don't work yourself up, grandson because you won't be able to calm yourself down." Well, look at me Granny, I'm standing tall and you've both transitioned. Thank you for all the wisdom you've imparted in me in our short time here together. May your spirit be married with the spirit of my mother, and may you two act as guides and protectors in my life. my sweet lady gets to go home today! I bent the corner in the hospital and all I could hear was, "Water! Is y'all gone give me some water or what?" Lol. we've come a long way in these past 3 months, granny. you went from paralysis to full movement in your arms because you had a desire to scratch your head.
