so! the trend of “aita but it’s a jrwi character” has been going around lately on twitter. we have decided to make this blog and bring it to tumblr!

DUDE ITS THE BEST CHARACTER !!!!!!

I (18m) and my BEST FRIEND (20m) were on our way to my brothers company because another friend messaged me asking for help. But when we got there, my brother was doing some crazy surgery on my rock friend (M) and my two other friends (M, F) were chained onto the wall! My brother convinced me to inject my father figure with some "forget serum" or whatever it was, but he said it would make them forget the next 24 hours. After a while, the two on the wall got off and tried attacking, but I got the female with the forget serum. But, the other guy (We can call him X) didn't like that, so he ran. I guess for a while I got a bit caught up in the moment and chased X down with an axe and chainsaw trying to inject him with the forget serum (Damn his skin was tough) because if he were to get out, everyone in the building could be in trouble. I eventually caught up to him using a smoke clone of his friend and showed him the souls of all the people he has indirectly or directly killed. BUT HERE ME OUT. If he had gotten out, word would have gotten out about what happened! How could I have lived with that? But anyways, am I the asshole?

I (25M) killed a guy and now my teammates wont stop giving me shit for it. The owl sent TWENTY EIGHT SOLDIERS TO KILL ME. And in self defense i killed ONE FUCKING DUDE. Now i see myself as a pretty chill guy so i dont know why theyre being so weird about it but it kinda feels unfair seeing as how there were TWENTY. EIGHT. PEOPLE TRYING TO KILL ME. I swear its not that crazy. Im not that crazy

Am I the asshole for pranking a 15 year old?

Don't get me wrong, I know that title looks bad. Some background here, I (18M) was up until recently, a hero under WATCH. I'm not going to expand on my role as a hero because I don't want this getting back to me.

I've been having a rough past year. The guy I'm into is into women, one of my friends literally fucking sacrificed himself to save my life, and my body is rapidly decaying but I can't die. I think I earned a little fuckery, don't you?

Here's where I may be the asshole though, because on this day I have reached the end of my fuse, I was working with my team (17M and 21M) and a 15 year old hero intern who is my current boss's nephew. We are currently at a hotel, and I was ridiculously bored because my dying body cannot physically sleep. Well, the hotel has a bear statue, and I got the really funny idea to use my powers to reanimate that statue and make it do my bidding.

At first I was just messing with the intern. I didn't know him, he didn't know me, so he was definitely going to give me a great reaction (unlike my team). But I got carried away, and one thing leads to the next, and I scared the kid up onto the roof.

I'm embarrassed by my behavior for that, and got my teammates to help get him down. One of them said that was too far, and I agree, but he said other hurtful things that made me really wonder if what I did was that bad. A little haunting never hurt anyone, right? Especially after my year?

So, Reddit, am I the asshole here? I don't really think I am but I have to ask.

I (25M) found this giant cave full of farmer dudes. My team, R (16, rat girl, will get into your head) and B (28, owl dude, kinda paranoid) were looking for a mushroom and also this inventor assistant chick so I went to ask someone. I'm tryna act friendly and stuff but I stuttered and that's pretty embarrassing so like the next logical thing was to hit the guy and knock him out y'know, forget he ever heard that.

But then the people got super pissed for no reason and threw me in jail and took away my steam sled and like that's not cool.

Am I the asshole for becoming friends with the person who tortured and almost killed my brother?

My brother and I aren’t exactly on talking terms right now. I’m trying to do something for him but he’s upset and thinks I’m lying to him. So through work, I ended up meeting this guy named Reuben Price. He seems pretty intimidating, but at the same time really chill. We drink and complain about our brothers together, and frankly I don’t see the issue. I mean, Gil was the one who bit his finger off and bit Chip’s neck! Reuben just wants to protect Chip. Plus, recently he’s helped me get a promotion and gave me money so I don’t have to work 2 jobs anymore. I can’t just drop someone who does things like that. He’s a friend. Am I the asshole here?

Am I (likeoneweekM) the asshole for absorbing like 100 (one hundred) people and their memories? I was created to do it, but I didn't really want to. I also threw all of them up :)

I (19M) am a pirate captain. One of my friends (22?F) is also a pirate captain, and has been recruiting people to fight the navy. The problem is, going into war means I can't protect my crew. One of them is even an ex-navy solider, so it's going to be even harder for her. I refused her offer, but I've been rethinking my decision, as my crew disagrees. Should I take her offer, and AITA?

So I (21F) met some people. Let's call them Bastard (19M) and Fish (23M). I joined Bastard to find the person who killed my sister, but now I'm attached to both of them, so I'm not using them anymore. We broke into this prison together and my father (???M) got all mad at me and told me to come home (I didn't, that's a story for another time). Now here's the real dilemma. He sort of cast a spell on me that caused me to shoot Fish and then tell Bastard my secret, but I really didn't want to and immediately regretted it, and promptly broke down sobbing. They're really my friends but I feel like they hate me. AITA?

He’s cool and all, we’re close friends, but I’ve known him for maybe two days. Besides that, he’s barely an adult.

He proposed to me out of nowhere. The poor guy probably just wanted some stability - he’s just been through something terrible and irreversible, and I don’t think he’s handling it as well as he pretends to. I don’t know. I just feel bad for him and I wanted a second opinion.

So there is this beautiful absolutely amazing man (let's just call him S) and he has been tormented by an unwelcome visitor (E) for a while now. E is incredibly rude, selfish, and hurts everyone around it at any opportunity it gets. I want you to picture, honestly, just the worst person you've ever met but then imagine they're a literal celestial blight on top of that. Awful! He makes my blood boil, and it hurts S the most out of everyone for no reason! S is kind and loving and I would do anything for S, ANYTHING, which leads me to my confession.

So. Maybe. After S and I had a night of passion together, let's say, I was confronting E. And maybe, MAYBE I had the thought that I could convince E to have a change of faith? So I may or may not have maybe also had sex, hypothetically, with E. Maybe. Technically. It could be described that way. Not really, but for the sake of the story I'm sure you can picture a scenario in which I just wanted to look after my beloved S and doing it with E was just my way of trying to protect him! By changing E for the better, in my own way, by converting him.

Does that make me an asshole? I do feel really bad about it but I also think that now we've settled our differences, everything is going to be smooth sailing from here. S doesn't know about this and I don't think I plan on telling him what happened, or even really talking about it ever again. At the least, it's not so bad if nobody finds out about it, right?

I just want to put it on the record that it sucked by the way. Not to be a hater but, E, if you're reading this, get it together man.

id like to preface this by saying im a triton. i dont know much oversea culture. ok so for context i (22? 23?, M), my best friend (21, F) and my other best friend (19, M) were on a quest in a dungeon. lets call the girl friend May and the male friend Pip. So we were in a room with a weird lake thing and i dived in and found a paper. It said something about an act of love being needed to open the door. So I came out and both May and Pip were in like a trance with their reflection in the pond. So i tried breaking may out but she pushed me away then i tried pip and he started crying. i started talking to his about how we need to do an act of love and he couldnt hear me. but i tried hugging him and it did do anything. then may started drowning and i was desperate to open the door. so in a breif moment of panic i kissed pip. it opened the door and i quickly jumped in the pond to save may. pip seemed pretty upset when i got back and hobbled away on his ice crutches (his lower half was stone). later on i read obe of my grandfathers books and read that kissing is a romantic thing... i feel bad for it but it was for a quest. am i the asshole?
