I've been able to avoid getting sick for the most part all these years by masking, and I will continue to mask since it's helped improve my health including with allergies. I truly was lucky I got a milder case, but it was still an experience I never want to have again. I got fevers nearly every day with migraines, my throat felt as if it'd been rubbed with sandpaper, just walking around a little left me feeling winded, and for the first couple of days, there were sharp pains in my legs that made it difficult to extend them fully. It took nearly 2 full weeks before I regained any energy back.

This is all to say, please be mindful and take care of yourselves. I'm going to ease myself back into the swing of things and try not to overdo it too soon ✌

I'd been hesitant to start sharing Make You Mine due to its premise and going more into the horror/slasher fandom. I was worried other fans of the genre wouldn't be interested in my work, or worse, vocally hated it. Thankfully, I'm a self-indulgent bastard, so those concerns weren't enough to stop me. I wouldn't know what would happen if I never even tried, yanno?

Readers eventually started giving Make You Mine a chance, and they've been so kind and letting me know how they're enjoying it. Several had never even heard of The Dare until coming across my work, so that also made me happy that more people were getting into the movie! Hell, even I found The Dare through another's work (shout out to @whimsyvixen's awesome art and fics) and it just spiraled out of control from there 😂 I really latched onto the story, and more specifically, the character Dominic, the first time I watched the movie to the point I watched it twice in a row to show it to someone else.
