Wednesday August 27th
I have been on the other side side of the country for the past three and a half weeks. So here are some photos of my travel journal where I’ve been documenting my adventures. It’s been great fun to travel and see family, and I am also ready to go home tomorrow.

Decided to start drawing the places I go to. This was Scotland in 2024 in watercolour and oil pastel

some of the stationery I picked up in Japan :) from my newest video!
japan trash journal (favourites)
— visiting coffee shops again ✹ traveler's notebook (via bleumingdays)
I finally have some days off, so I spent an hour updating my travel journal, took out ALL of my stickers and realized I've created just a little bit of chaos 💀
But it's fine, I missed journaling and putting stickers on pages and writing down notes, memories, books, song lyrics ecc ☺️
I want to switch out to my Norfolk, but I'm feeling way too attached to my Croc cover. It's too full though, and I'm not ready to archive my memories so I need the bigger rings 💔

Done Daily Log Journal
This is my first year of doing a daily log journal and I've learned a few things from doing this.
It was useful to have this, but I rarely remembered to write things in it at the moment unless it was something I had to do. This is not a bad thing, I did at least managed to use it for its intended purpose. When I remembered to take it with me, and that is more of a habit I need to build I think than anything else.
I liked making mini schedules in my journal. Writing out when I woke up and when I started things and the general order in which things would get done I found useful to me. Doing this the night before using my Everyday Journal to inform me what I could, should or want to do the next day is useful.
There is a need to better build a habit in how to use these two journals in conjunction with each other and I probably need to think about that a bit more for next year.
It took a long while for me to use this journal because I wasn't using a page a day since the way I use it now and the way I used it in the beginning was very different.
But I think so far I'll upkeep a daily log journal, but that does beg the question of what to do with the last two months and this is my answer:
Because I am experimenting with end of the day journaling again, I think most of these pages will be used by the end of the year. And hopefully, after a bit of tweaking I'll be ready next year to see how else I can make this more useful to me.
New Work Journal
So I had finished my last work journal, and needed to get a new one. In which, I just raided my shelf. Up until the end of the last quarter of 2025, I had been subscribed to a stationery box. It was fun, but two notebooks every single quarter is too many notebooks, and I didn't always like the notebooks I got.
Even though this journal is a subbox exclusive, the reality is, it would be cheaper for me to buy a bunch of high quality notebooks that I like.
I don't really like this notebook, it is very pretty but it isn't my vibe. But pretty notebooks that aren't my vibe, tend to make for very good work journals, because I don't care as much about what journal I'm working out of.
It was like that with the last work journal as well.
Which is great, because this journal is going to last for a year and 9 months. I couldn't get it to last for 2 years, I would need far more pages than what is in here.
