Happy New Year everyone! All The best for 2018! I know it’s late but here’s a list of my top 10 favourite albums released in 2017! I’m sure 2018 will be another great year for new music :-)

Hi everyone! Feels like I’ve started my past few blog posts like this because I know it’s been a while since I lasted posted. Here is just a quick update about what’s been going on with me and my music.... First things first, I know it’s been a long time coming but I do have new music in the pipeline! I’ve never felt more excited about anything I’ve released as I do about this new material!  I’ve been taking time out to reflect on what I’ve done so far so I can figure out which direction I want my new music to go, and now I realise how helpful doing that has been for me! I’m in a place I’ve never been before! I can really hear the growth in my new music compared to my older songs, and it’s so exciting! I feel so optimistic right now and I’m feeling inspired to write songs about topics I’ve never written about before. What I’m doing now just feels so much more mature than anything I’ve done in the past.  Of course, the new material still needs lots of work...but it’s getting there, slowly but surely! The ideas are swirling around in my head 24/7! There’s songs in my head that haven’t been written yet.... but I know they will be ready to be written soon, please just bare with me :-) Thank you so much for reading. Leonard Cohen

Absolutely heartbroken to hear that Leonard Cohen has passed away. Undoubtedly one of the most talented people to have ever lived! Leonard and his music will always be such a huge inspiration to me. Such a beautiful poet, lyricist, singer and musician I had the honour of seeing Leonard perform live a few years ago! He was approaching 80 years old and still put on an amazing show! One of the best nights of my life! Rest in peace, Leonard Cohen. You will be dearly missed by so many. Thank you for blessing the world with such beautiful music 💙 "There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in"

Hi everyone!  Yet again, it’s been quite a while since I last posted a blog. I won’t bore you with excuses for why I haven’t posted. Let’s get into everything that’s going onn with me and my music.  It’s been just a little over a year since I last released a new piece of music. A part of me finds it quite scary to think of that because I know consistency is important to any creative. On the other hand, I knew I needed some time to work on my craft and spend quality time on writing and creating new music that I’m incredibly proud of. I’m feeling very confident with the new material that I’m currently working on, and I honestly feel it is better than anything I’ve done before. I know it’s such a cliche for musicians to say that (and this next phrase is a cliche too), but I’m so excited to finally get some new music out and share it with you.  I currently have four new songs coming up, these are ‘Morph’, ‘I Just Want To See You Do Well’, ‘Apollo’ and ‘Poison’.  ‘Morph’ and ‘I Just Want To See You Do Well’ are songs I’ve spoken about many times, they’ve been in the works for a while. I absolutely love these songs. There are very close to completion, there’s just a few tweaks I need to make to them to make sure they’re perfect. I’ve been having trouble with the software I use for recording my music and I’m still trying to figure out what’s causing it. It seems everything I try makes small improvements, but doesn’t fix the problem entirely. ‘Apollo’ and ‘Poison’ are two of my newest songs and I’m so excited about how they’ll turn out. They’re a step in a new direction for me and I want to continue to experiment with my sound. I love the concept of these songs, I feel like I’ve matured as a songwriter and it’s apparent when you hear these two songs. I can’t wait to see how these songs develop and I’m hoping that, with the other ideas I have for songs, that I can hopefully incorporate these into my first full-length album!  That’s all I have to say for now.
