A bit of on location action - every editorial project lately consists of stills, motion and sometimes sound. We crushed producing a cover, spread, and a multi camera interview for social along with reportage images of a day in the office in one day!!! (Not normal🤔)Loving the angles and minimal vibe in the room, we built our lights around maintaining that integrity. We created a light beam on the back wall to mimic the daylight coming thru the windows. We archived this by flying a profoto d1 head 12ft outside the office. This shape also added a leading vector camera left to help our eyes move freely to the linear architecture camera right. Our key is high and feathered camera left from a small photek with the silver insert without the baffle for high contrast. The key also matched the beam light and made the final image feel lit all from one high row of windows. We filled the room with another D1 head boinking(u know thats right) into the back wall. This also gave us that perfect catchlight straight away in the pupils that we couldn’t get by having our key past the 45 degree mark.
