Hi! New guy here, got incredibly inspired to make an account and post after my gf made a fanfic including her PC and an NPC i use in my Warhammer Fantasy RolePlay 4e campaign (it's a TTRPG just like DnD) some days before she asked me if it'd be fine if we roleplayed a bit of slow-burn romance during the campaign and after a bit of thinking i accepted.
Anyways the NPC will now be a ride or die with a very sad backstory that the PC is slowly uncovering whilst meeting with some acquaintances, already had a character say that her PC is remarkably similar to the NPC's long dead fiancé and childhood friend so we're already there.
The very next session I had the NPC have an out of character moment, seeming very distant from her, since they were already on a first name basis the NPC then called her by the last name and got very nervous after getting called out, now, my wonderful girlfriend who's a writer by trade WROTE A FANFIC WITH THAT SCENE!!!!
Anyways, just wanted to get this excitement that's been bubbling through me these last few days, she expressed that she wants to keep going with the fanfic as they interact so i'll probably update this as that happens, hope everyone who sees this comes back with the updates as i'll go into more detail on the specifics, including a bit of Warhammer Fantasy lore that i'm using.
