When you read multiple fanfics of the same couple. It feels like theyâre soulmates who find each other in every universe, no matter the circumstances.
For fucks sake. I seriously just realized something. I mean, I knew their arcs shadowed each other but the extent of one mirror in particular only just occurred to me.
Aegon(?) Targaryen (Jon) : A prince taken in by his uncle to a place where he is renamed and claimed as the uncleâs bastard because the people at kingslanding want him dead.
Sansa Stark: A princess taken by her uncle to a place where she is renamed and claimed as the uncleâs bastard because the people at kingslanding want her dead.
I cant believe ive never put this together before
THESE THINGS NEVER END OH MY GODÂ
It was drawn a long time ago, when the series just came out. I still can't figure out how she turned around and ran past Zuko without noticing him

Broken Promises.
Art for @zkbigbang.
SP: You look amazing in that boat photo.
iktr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KAOS is up there with The Old Guard and Nimona for the kind of queer-centric fantasy productions we've been missing a whole lot of.
Jeff Goldblum is perfect as Zeus, Janet McTeer blows everyone out of the water as Hera and there isn't a chiseled Greek statuesque body in sight. It's refreshing seeing such a diversity of body types and ethnicities on-screen (though why the King of Krete has an Irish accent is a little beyond me).
Suzy Izzard? Oh yes. trans-positive representation? Hell yes. Faces familiar to Doctor Who fans? You know it.
Great storytelling, often hilarious, riffing off old myths, though given a 21st century sensibility: this is Zeus Trump or Musk or whatever weirdo billionaire you like, living in his glorious bubble, in capable of nothing but feeding his own desires and deep insecurities. He has one loyal son, Dionysus, who is out of his depth, but still wants dad's approval (and something beyond his current lightweight duties). Brother Poseidon (Chris Curtis) is all about that super-yacht life, willing to let his favored city of Krete do as it will, but only up to a certain point.
Hera might be heartless, but she is definitely The QUEEN.
The myths of Persephone, the Minotaur and Orpheus and Eurydice are all played on here, and we've got TERFish Amazons and the defeated Trojans bear no small political resemblance to Gazans, under the thumb of controlling Krete (and "segregated for their own protection").
The Fates, the Furies and the non-unionized workers of the Underworld are all accounted for.
Great satire and fantasy together? This one is a treat.
EURYDICE WAS WRITTEN BY THE GUY FROM BASTILLE?? No wonder it fucks so hard

to love someone is firstly to confess: i'm prepared to be devastated by you.
petercatherine
will be thinking about eurydice and caeneus for a long time, i think
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now iâm thinkingâŚ.maybe this is the good luck post
they were this close to realize something
the whole orpheus eurydice kaos controversy is so stupid and indicative of this websites inability to appreciate nuance like what do you mean it's sacrilege to interpret the myth that way when the literal point of the myth was that love wasn't enough (or that it was too much) it's not a big wonderful perfect romance what are you all on about. it's a perfectly reasonabl and frankly interesting interpretation to wonder if eurydice actually felt the same, to question the levels of trust in that relationship. also it's not as clear cut as some are making out. eurydice isn't a bitch for not loving him back and orpheus also isn't boiled down to be a controlling asshole (which would have been a easy characterisation to make) stop generalising and simiplyfing everything!! he loves her so much he damns her to a coinless afterlife and his guilt on this one selfish mistake takes him further into the afterlife than any human has gone before!! this misinterpretation of the journey as purely true love's power is a key theme of the show itself. Dionysus believe his music and thinks he's doing it all for 'true love' but he fails the first test of the fates. There's so many other factors and prophecy at play. The narrative itself plays with the idea of heroic journeys and how you view that story. Fundamentally though, this Orpheus is still a hero of greek proportions he still does manage to save her. but he doesn't get her back!! do you understand what a fun and clever interpretation that is??? stop being boring and getting angry that it doesn't fit with your own incredible simple interpretation of heavily debated and ever changing ancient mythology

Just a very quick drawing but I literally could not function today if I didn´t draw Dionysus carrying Dennis from Netflix´s new show Kaos
