even some of my favourite content creators are like this and i don't begrudge them being successful it's a very good way to make lots of money while still doing something you love. good for them! Just PLEASE stop pretending it was hard work or talent or that your success story is at all relevant to normal people. sorry to all these life coach wholesome inspiration influencers but i don't think 'go viral and get brands to pay you eye watering amounts of money a normal person would have to work a year for' is a useful goal or at all helpful advice to people!! good for you babes??? how does this relate to my life? if you can only say 'oh well it's about following your dreams and putting yourself out there' frankly, stfu. i can follow my dreams and put myself out there and #grind all i want but my labour is fundamentally not valued the same as an influencer simply existing. stop pretending it's hard work!! it's not inspiring you just won the capitalist lottery by being marketable. glad you bought a house though xx

celebrity and public image so weird like im reading a reddit thread of everyone fawning over this iconic actor having a cute interaction with a supporting actor as they were starstruck and cried and how empathetic and humble said actor is. all very wholesome and lovely and wow what a guy! and yet i also know this guy was an asshole to work with and would literally drive around the studio lot like a golf buggy menace trying to run people over on purpose and laughing about it. people contain multitudes! pr is weird
