Ben Carson is such a great example of how the concept of raw intelligence doesn’t exist, and that people can have wildly varying types of intelligence. This man is the best brain surgeon in America. Possibly the world. He invented a new way to treat seizures. He separated conjoined twins in a surgery that everyone else said was impossible. And he thinks going to prison makes you gay. He thinks the pyramids were grain silos built by the biblical Joseph.

in other news today i found out that eddie redmayne has a degree in art history and for his diploma he wrote a 12k words analysis of a picture that’s basically a blue square on a black background; the thing was it was a very unique shade of blue, actually used there for the first time ever; however, being colorblind, i quote, he had no idea what the colour was but well, it looked very pretty to him

A supernova occurs when there is a change in the core of a star. When two companion stars become self destructive; that is, one stealing matter from the other. The result? An explosion that begins subtly. Shifting minds, shifting hearts. The time between when our eyes would meet and when she’d timidly glance away. Afraid of the emotions condensed in a vacuum, only causing the radiation of more heat. Her eyes darted desperately searching for a way against the gravitational pull. I didn’t notice it at first. Until her hand felt too small and her lips too rough. She was fixated in one position and I orbited around, constantly trying to align myself with her. The fact is, we weren’t a constellation. I couldn’t force a beautiful picture in the massive galaxy where my light was dim. Every star has a life span. After that, it erupts and leaves behind an array of breathtaking ultraviolets; showing everything we could’ve become.
