Hi! Today I put out a new Hell Maybe release called Never Ever. I wrote and tracked the drums in my mum’s garage over a couple days, then recorded everything else in my bedroom over the following weeks. 8 songs, 20-odd homemade effects pedals, 2 noise complaints. I recently got to spend some time working with Jacknife Films on a stop-motion music vid for Father John Misty’s song “Please Don’t Die”. At the studio I discovered a secret room full of camera wonders…including a lovely macro lens that was previously used for taking photos of slugs. Using said slug-lens, I took a few creepy gross portraits of the loveable undead puppets from the video! The detail on them is quite nauseating. I think these would make some pretty cool album artwork for a well gnarly crust band, wouldn’t you agree?
