After going back and forth they started growing close before they realized they were meant to still be together. They reconnected officially with a kiss on New Years as the ball dropped into 2020. Sophie and Joe married in August of 2020 and had just celebrated one year together.

family: A big family was always the plans for the pair. Welcoming their first and only son Rowan ( often called RJ ) not long after another Jonas Brother’s tour. When they decided to go for one more, they got the surprise of their lives when Sophie became pregnant with twins. Two girls, Amelia and Ophelia. 

current career: Does sometimes dabble with acting here and there but it never became his passion. While they do still sometimes release music for those diehard fans still lingering around, Jonas Brothers don’t typically tour anymore. After Nick settled down and started having kids they all kind of decided to enjoy the life they had and put their time into their families. He does still work on songwriting for other artists to make sure income is still implemented.

Most of them. There’s still a bit to go through, but everything looks good so far. Been doing a lot of cleaning and working to make sure the house is babyproof. It’s good that it would just involve a few minor tweaks here and. there. I’m thinking we may not stay overnight and just hang out with everyone, but her due date is getting so close, we don’t want to risk it.

The settling in before the kid gets here is always insane. You want to make sure everything is perfect. Everything is settled. Trust me you’ll be doing final tweaks right up until Janel goes into labor if you let yourself. Are you at least enjoying the wrapping up of the Getaway? Am bummed that I’m missing out on it but with the tour just kicking off didn’t really have a choice. 

I like a challenge. Do you think they’ll let me in if I rely on google? Too late! 

It would be a challenge and I would be impressed if you could pull it off. Make it happen that they let you in. Can you pull a ‘do you know who I am’ because I would pay money for that. Google might be cheating but I feel like in this case it’s allowed. 

I feel it in my bones that she will. Fashion runs in her blood so I can’t begin to imagine how the laundry is going to look once her clothes get a bit bigger. You think so? We could live that boujee life, though. That’s a good point! How about we wash our delicates here instead of taking them to the cleaners. Wouldn’t want my hubby’s boxers to be auctioned off on eBay. Yes, exactly. Even if I stash the dishes in the dishwasher most of the time. I think it was a better choice to stay at home. Wouldn’t want Willa to wake up the people around our tent if we went. I’m sure we can always pop in during the afternoon and see how life is like without electricity. Though I did promise Richard a night in to chill if that’s okay.

It’s going to be interesting I’ve no doubt. Careful what you wish for, she’ll be asking us to switch rooms so she can have a bigger walk in closet to herself. Though it wouldn’t actually surprise me if she asked, she has all the sass I was expecting our first child to have. I’m all for sending out our laundry and cutting that out of our daily to do. Might make it easy with me on tour too so you have one less thing when you’re home to stress about. While I enjoyed going over then, hanging out with people, I’m really glad we decided to just come back and stay at home. No way I would have chilled out with her just sleeping in a tent with us. Maybe when she’s older we can make it happen, but we could start with inside blanket forts. Whenever you wanna invite them around, I’m game. Would be nice to have something before we left for tour. 

Exactly, I don’t want them to think it is the perfect excuse to try new things on my head. So I am going to keep being careful around them – and lowkey enough to make them comfortable. Oh that’s so soon! Five more days and you’ll be back having fun on stage.

Just have to set those boundaries, man. Make sure they know that you are not the one to experiment on. They have those wigs / cosmetic heads that they can practice on! Though guess making them not feel on edge would help too. Hopefully you’ll be able to avoid that for a little bit. Oh yeah, super soon, it’s crazy how soon things are going to kick off. I’m ready but I’m not all at the same time. 

I’d probably be even more afraid if I were closing my eyes while someone’s cutting my hair. I still don’t trust them enough. That’s true, so that’s not a big deal but when you’re nervous, that’s all you can think about. Hopefully our hairdressers haven’t screwed up too much in their career. Oh, that’s exciting! I hope that you guys have been having a marvelous time together. When does the tour begin?

It’s almost like daring them if you close your eyes. So I say don’t do that, watch them closely, just not enough to also make them nervous to make a mistake. Thankfully mine’s been pretty good but I’m also someone who isn’t afraid to shave off all his hair down super short if I have to, so that does help. Tour kicks off August 20th in Vegas! So very soon, just a few more days. 

Yeah, for sure it’s because he’s got a little penis. You know it’s the truth there. I just think the general consensus should be that until we fix a lot of other problems, we should be limiting the joy rides into space and saving space travel for more meaningful ventures. Is the family going to join you at all for some of the shows or will they be staying back in town for some quiet time? I think it’s sort of making me feel more American than the motorcycle that I usually ride around. Damn, why didn’t I do that?

Makes sense, at least that’s what I figured he was compensating for. Though really just kinds of gives it away... Hey I’m with you there, there’s a shit ton we could work on fixing before wanting to take fifteen minute trips to outer space. Not like it’s really accomplishing things for most people. You won’t see me joining that fad and buying a ticket. Soph’s going to be kicking off tour with me, don’t know how long she’ll stay with the baby but we definitely want to have her on the road a little bit. Pretty sure you can buy a cowboy hat in town at least, if not there’s a good solid five people you could grab one from when they’re not looking! 

That was very nice of you to leave that for us both, thank you Joe! Exactly. And I’m sure that it is going to go perfectly, don’t worry. Almost six months already?! Damn it. Do you want me to have a serious talk with Willa, too? I’ll also bring Finley along. It will be the three of them on the couch and me telling them how they need to stop growing cause Mum and Dad aren’t ready for it. Of course, of course. You’ll have a special place in our court, no worries. You’ll even be invited to every dance parties. That’s good to hear though! I’m glad you’re having a great time there. Don’t forget to send pictures – especially the ridiculous ones with Sophie please.

You’re welcome, man! It’s the least I can do, obviously. No literally, the least I could have done but I like to think sometimes that’s not a bad thing. Almost six months! Will be in a few more days which is mind blowing to think she’s already half a year old. Getting bigger every day but you know how that goes, no doubt Archer doubles in size right before your eyes. There you go, we’ll just line them all on the couch and tell them they need to stop with this growing business. Don’t worry I promise to send over all the good videos I got, you know the ones I promised to delete and then didn’t! Are you going on the camping trip this weekend? Know it kicks off tomorrow and I’m still kind of going back and forth with Willa only being six months old. 

We are! I know once we get back, we’ve got the final few check ups and making sure we’re ready for when the day does come. It’s so close that we’re gonna have to take it real easy. Both of us don’t have anything big coming up. Ha! I’m excited to join the club. Aww, that’s adorable, I’m glad she’s happy! Sounds like a fun time.

Have you gone through those last final things? Because I know we kept doing those little checks right up until Soph went into labor. So it’s pretty normal. It’s probably good to take it easy the next few weeks until the baby decides it’s time to join the Bayview family. I’m taking it you won’t be doing the camping weekend if she’s close to her due date?

You mean I can’t just be like hi, I’m an honorary Jonas, I’ve put up with Joe’s shit longer than any woman he’s ever been with, let me in? I know Sophie will back me up here. Cause I don’t find that fair. 

You know, actually, can you give that a try and see what happens? Just to kind of see what they do? If I promise to have them let you in afterwards if they don’t? Can’t go making my wife team up against me, Ness. 

Would you like to go out in horse back sometime? The dogs can come as I always take my two when I go horseback riding. I know what you mean though about be glad to be home. No matter how much fun we have nothing beats your on bed and surroundings.

You know, I have half a mind to take all of the clothes to the cleaners. Feels like the laundry is never-ending. And that’s because Willa’s clothes are small and I can pack more things in the washer so imagine how it’s going to get once she gets older. Or we start having more babies. Are you up for a camping adventure or should we stay home this weekend and watch reruns of a show? Either way, I’ll buy loads of snacks.

If she has a love for things fashion like her parents do, we’re screwed. You know we can do a laundry service. Which sounds totally boujee but you know, I’m not against it. So long as they don’t go stealing my boxers out of it and selling them on eBay. Though especially when we start having more babies... we’re gonna need it. Screw let’s just do the laundry service, we’ll still do the dishes so it counts? As long as we have all the snacks I’m game for either. Do you think Willa will appreciate camping with no power or anything? She has become quite obsessed with the finer things to life, obviously. 

You’re absolutely right on that. The kids had a brilliant time and just being on horseback seems so…I don’t know…calming? The horses loved it too which was amazing. Still enjoying yourself I hope?

Me too. So soon. She’ll be here around mid-August! So we’re absolutely stoked. We are! One last trip before we start showing her off to everyone. How is Willa taking all the excitement? 

Wow so you are definitely in the home stretch! It’s that hurry up and wait period where you’re kind of just waiting for go time. Won’t be long and you’ll be joining the fellow dads of Bayview group. Willa’s loving it. Seeing the scenery, dipping her little feet in the water while I hold her. She’s pretty happy at least. 

if it makes you feel better joe, whenever i was ‘running’ by myself… i was thinking about you all the time, you know. yeah shawn mendes is a big no. ed? well, he is cool i guess. i mean you could do better but if it’s good for you i mean. it’s okay, you can have a concert just for me. i’d be cool with that. kidding. it’s fun, i mean, we can’t say you’re any boring right? i just injure myself without anyone seeing.

Mhm sure you were, it sounds like you were thinking about running towards the nearest bakery. Ed is cool, I can vibe with Ed and let him slide in there instead of letting Zayn in. A concert just for you? You know that’ll cost you, can’t be doing those kinds of things for free and I’m not sure if you can financially afford those kinds of things!
