My name is Jo and my pronouns are they/she!

I’m 18 years old and I’m pansexual (I have a loving partner as well)

My favorite bands are Chiodos, Circa Survive, Bring Me the Horizon, MCR, Paramore, and The Used. I’m currently trying to get into I set my friends on fire, Silverstein, A Heartwell Ending, and Her words kill. If you have any recommendations for bands pls lmk and I will listen to them! I also like more than just post hardcore/emo/screamo music tho. Some examples would be Underscores, The Weeknd, Big Bang/G Dragon, The Cure, and The Cranberries.

Some of my hobbies are writing, drawing, listening to music(obviously), and playing Pokemon! My fav Pokemon are Mawile, Lucario, Slyveon, Jirachi, Gardavoir, and Lunala. I really like Fairy types if you can’t tell 😓 I collect Pokemon cards with my partner and we play the games. I’m currently trying to get a 3DS so I can play Sun and Moon/X and Y. I also really like clothing and thrifting (I’m a depop enthusiast) and I watch a LOT of YouTube. My favorite YouTubers are Drew Gooden and The Kubz Scouts. My favorite shows are Star Trek, Dexter, South Park, and House MD and my favorite movies are SLC Punk!, Scream, Juno, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

I go to a lot of concerts (or at least I’m trying to now that I’m 18)

I have seen MCR, PTV, From First to Last, Chiodos, Thrice, The Living Tombstone, Bad Religion, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Used, LS Dunes, Coheed and Cambria, and TOOL.

My concert lineup currently is Anthony Green(w Geoff Rickly), Jane Remover, Circa Survive, MCR, PTV, SWS, The Used, Hail the Sun, LS Dunes, Chiodos, Thursday, and Dance Gavin Dance.

I have 2 tattoos currently but I am trying to get more when I get the money.

I’m not a big anime watcher but I do like Nana, Chainsaw Man, and Saiki K.

My favorite foods are rice, shrimp, sushi, broccoli, and salmon :P

I physically can’t believe that this is a real debate but kids do not need to be on social media. In my experience, and the experience of all my close friends, social media has been a negative thing. Why do kids want to waste away their childhoods being online? Being on social media has only caused me to be insecure and suicidal. I have also gotten groomed and sent photos and seen porn. There are positives to social media, you can make friends and post cool photos of yourself but honestly kids shouldn’t be doing that because you don’t know what strangers will do with those photos. There are so many other things kids can do rather than be online. You can pick up a hobby such as guitar, ukulele, piano, flute, trumpet, etc. and I don’t wanna hear “oh kids can’t afford those” if you are in band in middle/high school you can use those and there are apps where you can still learn the instrument without owning it. You can also make slime or obleck. That’s something I did all the freaking time as a kid and it’s cheap and fun. You can play with dolls, dolls are all over stores and very easy to get your hands on. If the 15-20 dollars is out of your budget you can go to the thrift and get dolls for cheap. You can sew or knit or crochet. You can learn a language (apps), You can read books, write stories or journal entries. You can draw, paint, color, ceramics, or animate. You can do all these things in person or in apps. If you don’t have books, get a library card (usually free if student) and get free books. Libraries also have fun little mini games and movies you can rent. You can watch movies/tv/youtube if you’re not feeling doing something. There are infinite things to watch. You can pirate pretty much everything so that can be free too. YouTube is also free with ads. You can play games, there are infinite flash games on computers and lots of free games on steam. There are also free mobile games. And now for what all little kids should be doing, is using your imagination to make up a game. You can play with sticks and pretend they’re lightsabers, you can fill a tub of water and put some soap and make bubbles with hangers, you can play superheros, you can play house, you can play literally anything you can imagine. Children are losing their creativity and imagination more and more and it’s depressing. Get children off social media and onto growing their minds.

okay so my last post was a vent and I was complaining about how no one is hanging out with me and since then I have been invited to like 10 things dude. Right after posting that I hung out with 2 of my friends that are usually always busy but they found time for me at like 10:30 pm and we hung out til 2:30 am and It was awesome. Yesterday, I went swimming with this girl that I have recently reconnected with (we were friends in hs but had a falling out) and then I got invited to dinner with my childhood friend and her bf and our other friend and then my brother called to hang out and then my aunt asked when I can see her next. I ended up just hanging out with my brother since I hadn't seen him in a while. He stayed the night at my place last night and then i took him home now im at work and after work im hanging out with 2 friends and my bf. Thank you world for making me feel so loved.

Is anyone else completely bored of summer?

I have so many friends but they’re all busy all the time now that’s were adults.

I miss the nights where I could text my hb “pick me up” and I’d just tell my mom I was staying the night somewhere and we’d drive to a different state and walk around til like 3 am with our other friends then get home around 9 am and just say the sleepover was good to my mom and pass out for a few hours then do it all over again.. now said hb is dating this girl that can’t stand when he’s impulsive and he doesn’t talk to me anymore + she hates our other friend we used to hang out with and the other person that was there is now my ex so I can’t hang out with her either. All my impulsive friends are goneeee I’m so bored. All I do is work. I work 5 days a week. I still can’t afford anything. I have no money. My boyfriend and I live together so I could try to do something with him but we spend every breathing moment together I just wanna go somewhere else. I would drive to another state but I wouldn’t be able to stay up the whole time and I know it wouldn’t be the same. My bf doesn’t drive. I miss staying up all night which I could hypothetically do but there’s nothing TO do to keep me awake. Tonight is the only night where I don’t work the next day til Saturday. I can’t stand the thought of wasting it sleeping. My friends all work anyways. I texted 3 people and none of them responded. What do I even do? How do you make new friends? I don’t wanna drive tn I just wanna go somewhere. I would KILL to have my hb back from his gf. If he were single he’d pick me up in a heart beat and we’d go get energy drinks and do dumb shit all night. I’m so nostalgic of something that was not even a full year ago. I miss when i went up north with 11 ppl I didn’t know and we stayed up all week filming and became best friends. Where are all of them now you ask? Most of them are previously mentioned. One of them is in France, one is my friends ex so ew, one of them I never got too close with bc we don’t have a ton in common and he’s pretty quiet, one is now my boyfriend, and One of them has work at 4 am tomorrow. The only thing I can tell myself is that it will surely get better next month bc all these friends I made happened in July and June was pretty lonely last summer too. We are supposed to film next month once my friend gets back from France and we’re gonna go up north again but I just know it will never be the same. I miss you mecosta, every single breathing moment of my life. I miss being so carefree and getting high all the time. I miss working after staying up all night (even tho it was miserable) and actually having money. I miss not having to pay for my groceries and gas and clothes and doctors and medicine. Being an adult sucks fucking dick. Is anyone else feeling like this or is everyone else having a blast this June? Sorry for the long ass rant post but sigh idk who to talk to my bf is asleep.
